JAST, mate, you haven't got a virtual crush have you?!

Oh, no.... it's like reading a good novel.... the imagery of the characters are what brings the stories to life! I just have a vivid immagination.

In a previous thread (about a month ago?) they asked what your "type" was. I am projecting my "type" on Joey (my exMM's look) as I wish he had half the sentiment that Joey has regarding his MW.

Sorry Joey to "use" you like that but no harm done if it's happening all in my head, right?

Awww, I want to go. Can you imagine; "Er sorry husband, just off to Vegas to meet some people who I have never met but who I talk to over the net about an EA you know nothing about" mmmmmm that would go down well.....

I would just love to meet up with some of the people I've met on here....would be one very heavy night I think!!

I don't reckon he'd be too bothered about getting used by a few ladies, actually I think he might enjoy it ;)

Okay using the word "Reckon" will get you pegged as being from Kentucky or Alabama or something. Definitely not Brittish!

Whilst - too proper;

While - American version

Just seen this....JAST, never been described as proper before;) I like it and will be using 'whilst' more often....probably won't make sense but I'm using it anyway;)

So when all you Americans hear of some 'mad' British woman going round Vegas next week speaking some strange new language called 'whilst'...it will be me;) haha

I have a link which has mindfulness exercises that can be very effective in getting over the obsessing. Its a DBT site which is a therapy aimed at borderline personality disorder. I just wanted to make a disclaimer and say that I'm not implying that you are BPD, just that the mindfulness exercises can be very useful, especially, when fantasizing and obsessing become a detrimental coping mechanism. Good Luck to you. http://www.dbtselfhelp.com/html/instant_mindfulness.html

Hey thanks IWWH...after watching one of the exercises, they are meant to balance, get a person centered. They really helped me :)

The problem is that the person I thought MW was, and the person she really is, share the same body. They could be twins. And I think they're hot!

whilst

loo

humour and behaviour

SL - Du hast unrecht. Ich bin nicht Engländer.

Joey - that's the hard part. Everytime I saw him, looked in those eyes, heard his voice, I would revert back to the good times. And trying to reconcile those two individuals was very confusing. So I had to separate them as though they were two distinct people - like identical twins. That was the only way that worked for me.

Wow just read this. A very profound post indeed and I share your views almost exactly to a "T", especially the bolded part. I believe I too built my XOM to be someone who he wasn't. He really showed his true colors upon ending with me. Rather than just be a mature human being and just end it by communicating like an adult, he had to insult me upon ending. I will never ever forget his words to me upon ending...never.

Ladydesigner - I believe in my situation (& maybe most, I don't know), his persona during the A was comprised of two parts - my perception/what I wanted to him to be and his pretense/manipulation - what he wanted me to believe.

Ok SL, got a question for you (all of you actually) I am half English and half French....my grandson is Hispanic and Indian (with my stuff too) ...he looks Hispanic...he has an English accent...no lie ...he could go to England and fit right in and no one would know he's from the states...he even uses the terminology....?????? Are accents hereditary?

Wow, STD (sorry, bad acronym!), I think you may have nailed it. That makes sense to me. Right, when I see him next, I will see 'bad twin' not 'good twin'. Good twin is no longer alive, bad twin survives. Bad twin must be avoided at all costs as bad twin mascarades as good twin. Got it. Thanks very much :)

Stop - I know that you are right. I need to separate the gorgeous body from the (sometimes) b*tch that inhabits it. I just haven't managed to do it. Yet.

I guessed that, hence why I asked him (in German) if he was American....

You used the formal version (Sie) of "you." And I thought we were friends. Auch bin ich nicht Deutscher. (Good call SL.) What you reckon, mate?

How would one explain to their spouse that they are going away to an OW/OM Conference??? That would be an interesting conversation!

But definitely a fun trip!!

It's called "Las Vegas" ha, ha. Haven't read through the whole thread...just had to chime in that I'm a CA beach girl (if you haven't figured that out by my many trips to beaches).

Heather, had not pictured you for a Cali girl but am thrilled to know now.

LD - Cali is good. I'm a former N.Cali girl and still have family in Cali.

It's all good!

SL - Hmmm ... Let's see if I can guess your day-to-day thought process. (Forgive me for being presumptuous.)

Some days you are perfectly "normal" (whatever that means), you do not feel the need to pursue this man, or to be pursued.

Some days you want to jump his bones and have wild monkey sex.

Some days you are seethingly angry with him, for the crimes he has committed and for those he hasn't.

Some days all you want to do is cry.

Some days you want to spend in long, meaningful conversation with him, sharing the intimate details of your lives.

Some days you are seethingly angry with yourself for being sooooo stupid. (For the record, I don't think you are.)

Some days all you want is to take him in your arms and hold him.

Some days you are just tired of the whole thing and want it to go away.

And there is no way to predict which kind of day tomorrow will be. Am I close? :)

OMG - you are SOOOO right on the money!!!!
