luvjhong Posted May 13, 2010 Share Posted May 13, 2010 my partner and i are dating for almost 8 years and suddenly my mom decided to migrate to canada. so, my partner and i tried to live with LDR and it's been a year since then.. and now, we are planning to get married. i , will go back to the philippines this november and we'll say "i do". i was so excited until we come across to the wedding prep and the costs.. and now, i feel that he's not ready, financially and emotionally but im sure he do love me.. how can i ask him if he's really ready? im afraid he'll get mad at me and think that i am doubting his capabilities.. help:confused: Link to post Share on other sites

Yes, weddings are expensive, but generally men don't suddenly change their mind about getting married when they realize how much it will cost..they just change their mind about the size of the wedding!!! There are ways to get around the cost, such as having a smaller wedding or just going to the JOP and then throwing a party for all your close family and friends afterward.
