friends & enemies

The saying: who friends like this, who needs enemies?

Have any of you experienced this?

I'm angry at one of my friends, and she's

diminished the friendship, I don't trust her

like before, and I like her less.

What happened is that she told one of my

enemies, that she thought I was annoying!

My enemy said she thought I was annoying,

and my so-called friend who sees her socially

(they're in the same circle, not friends) agreed

with her! My friend knew about me and my enemy

and she decided to agree anyhow. I felt totally

betrayed because if the situation was reversed

I would have told the enemy no, even if I thought

my friend was annoying at times.

The thing is I barely see this friend to begin with

and we talk maybe once a month, but she thinks

I'm annoying! I'm like well people become annoying

to me when I see too much of them but that isn't the

case here.

I feel soo betrayed because I've treated this

friend like a sister, I helped her soo often, & I'm

always positive, nurturing, encouraging and helpful to her, I now feel like I've been slapped in the face for my loyalty and caring!

Why is it that people don't value what they have?

I'm just upset because I treated her well, and I

expect my friends to treat me well back.

Is there even any point in talking to her about this?

I find it worse even that she had the guts to bring

this up with me, and to tell me oh by the way I

agree with your enemy, you're annoying.

People can soo suck at times!!! :(

That old saying rings so true in some of my experiences. Although confronting them when they betray you does have some merit, I've found it's better to just move on with my life and try to surround myself with people that I CAN trust and just stay away from those that I know I can't.

Perhaps this girl is a bit of a follower and will just agree with whoever she is with. If that's the case, you're better off knowing that now and getting away from her.

If you want to continue the friendship, tell her that what she did hurt your feelings and let her try to explain herself. Could be that she was too intimidated to disagree.

Girlie is right...... stay away from her.... some people have no clue what the term friendship actually means...... and its unfortunate because some of us can actually offer the tru meaning of a friend but we just get used and walked on no matter what the circumstance is.. your better off without her.
