Lauren83
Hey guys! I need help with a situation, so I hope you guys will have some suggestions! I have a good friend who's a guy, and I really like him, but we agreed to just stay friends because we go to different colleges now (2hrs away). Anyway, Valentine's Day is coming up and I'm totally at a loss as to what I should do! Should I sent him a "friends" Valentine Card (through snail mail), an e-card, or just ignore the day completely? I always send cards to my other friends (through snail mail), but I've never really had a good guy friend like this that I've felt this way about. They've always been either "just friends", without a chance of anything more ever happening, or boyfriends. In both cases, I could send Valentine cards without any problems. But, as you can probably tell by my confusing little story, I don't know what to do. We both agree that it is best for us to just be friends right now, so I don't want to do anything to make him feel pressured or like we're moving too fast. I also don't want him to take it the wrong way if I don't send him anything! Do you guys have any suggestions?
abearlovesabean
well, how exactly do you feel about him? I don't mean to be dumb, but that's very important in making a judgement on what to do
Author Lauren83
Like I said above, I really like him (maybe even love him), but I know that it can't go beyond friendship right now. We both talked about it and agreed that with both of us going to college in different cities, it just wasn't a good idea to start that kind of relationship. We're both really busy also with work and other activities. But, we've managed to stay good friends, and I don't want to do anything to jeopardize our friendship. So, basically, I need to keep the Valentine as friendly as possible, without swaying too far over to really romantic and mushy or getting too friendly and making him think that friendship is all I'm after. Did that make any sense? lol
