seren
We have got the fireplace working in our bedroom, how bloody romantic is that, cold winds blowing and a fire crackling in the hearth whilst me and my lovely H who because he is married to me makes him my MM, are happy and snuggly making our own fires burn brightly, now that really makes me happy. Beef caserole bubbling away nicely, dogs back from a race around the garden and a stand off with the highland coos, dirty mucky paws everywhere, but I love seeing them pooped after exercise. Just off to collect my H from his gardening job a quick sit by the beach with a hot chocolate and home for hot baths, casserole and fire gazing. I bloody love my life and the man I share it with, it really doesn't get any better. On a down side to counteract my happiness, my new Doctor is a patronising oaf, well that's what he now knows I think of him. I am sure we will reach an understanding soon. SidLyon
It's been a while since we've had a happy thread here on the OW forum - well, one that started happy, stayed happy and wasn't closed down by the grumpy brigade for being happy when they feel we ought to be miserable. So, here's a new one. The idea is for those who DO feel happy, or who have aspects of their R that bring them happiness, or for those who have happy memories of their R, or whatever, to post them here. After all, SOMETHING must be going right, surely, for you still to be in the A? Anyway, I'll start with something small: I love the way my man's eyes melt when he looks into mine, and tells me how much he loves me. One year today - that this thread has been going , that is! I'm happy that in the past year I've finished my LLB, after several years of hard work; and I'm about to complete my course to be admitted to the bar. Graduation day for my law degree is tomorrow. My fWH are still going really well in rebuilding our marriage. Basically this will go on for the rest of our time together, as getting complacent was what caused our probs in the first place - [this is a gross oversimplification but for the purposes of a "Happy Thread" it will do]. As part of "doing stuff" together we've been on family holidays to Port Douglas (far North Queensland), Hawaii, the original Disneyland, Washington DC, a train trip on the Ghan, Melbourne to see Wicked, and various more local destinations here in Aus. The kids are doing great in schooling and excelling in their sport. Work is going well for both of us. Life is pretty good.

JaneyAmazed
I'm happy that I don't have to be happy all the time in order to be at peace. I'm happy that I can cry while I grow and learn. I'm happy that God is holding my hand through this sometimes painful journey. I'm happy that I am loved, that my loved ones believe me and believe in me, that my husband has given me mercy and forgiveness, and that I can forgive myself and love myself again. seren
Crikey, a year old thread with nothing but happy or reflective thoughts and nary a cross word. That's worth celebrating. I love reading how happy people are and feel it gives an insight into people I like to read about. So Happy Thread makes me Happy!! Thanks OWoman for starting it. Yay to Sid for the LLB, congratulations. I am happy as I have had three full days of no wonky heartbeat thing!! I am also happy because I have a full day planned making wedding albums from vintage fabric, may do a whole Scottish themed range and have some fabric wedding invitations to try out. Indulging myself in fabric heaven always makes me happy. Going to look at progress on lovely house later, all the floorboards and half the walls are stripped back to basics, it looked like a tattered old lady, time to do a makeover and make her all beautiful again. Don't even get me started on the overgrown garden. Happy Days all Seren x

Silly_Girl
I am over the moon that my chap and I have decided to live together - not just yet, but in good time for our favourite season (autumn)! We've set a rough date and all three of us are very happy and looking forward to it. It feels really, REALLY right, and it will be wonderful not to have to factor in a 2 hour distance to all our plans.

Life goes along swimmingly, save allergies and insomnia (my nemesis but on the plus side so much more time for LS! ). Went for an absolutely gorgeous bike ride and lunch of Thai food with my boyfriend's wife today. She's awesome.

seren
From a drizzly, grey Scotland, which still manages to look beautiful and so green (tis all the rain). I went to fill up my car yesterday, the garage is on the harbour, an old fella comes out of his office and fills up my car, he was wearing an old brown dust coat and it felt like I had stepped back in time. Such manners and civility. He pointed out the wild dolphins in the harbour. a whole mass of them twirling and leaping, what a treat, it made my day and still makes me smile. I am planting myself on the harbour wall all weekend with my binoculars and camera. How cool is that! It is quite funny hearing all the gossip and tales from H when he comes home from the big house, very Upstairs Downstairs, from a 26 year macho military man to gardener and bringer of gossip in a week, makes me laugh and the lack of stress and his smile makes me so happy. Gardening makes him tired and grubby at the end of the day, I have discovered the benefits of being a bath attendant, highly recommended for lots of soapy fun!! crazycatlady
I am happy for all the friends I made working this year (summer break however is very welcome). I am very happy that when I called home to check on hubby that he declared today PIZZA day and asked me to pick up the LC hot and ready pizza on my way home and I'm now comfy and cozy and relaxed knowing I don't have to go back out tonight or do any cooking. I am NOT happy that my son managed to get himself suspended today (and half day yesterday) but I'm very happy Hubby was already off today and I didn't have to miss work or pay a sitter to sit with my turkey of a boy. I am thrilled hubby and I got to have dinner out with just our girl last night. It doesn't happen often and its nice when we can arrange it. I'm extremely happy that lately i've felt like :bunny: with hubby
Author OWoman
I'm happy my permanent residence has finally come through. I'm happy that I made good progress on the nettles and the wall and happy that my H cleaned the house so nicely and cooked a lovely roast dinner while I was in the field. I'm happy that even at such short notice, so many people can come to our party, and I'm happy that I'll be seeing a really good friend the evening before (but sorry she'll be off before the party!) I'm happy that Seren hasn't drowned yet in all the rain we've been having...
seren
Hi OWoman, nice to see you around these parts. Trapping a mouse, which was in the bathroom in my moulded bra made me laugh muchly, I felt like a lingerie, lassooing cowgirl. Laughing makes me happy. H says I now take rodent DD. Eating fish and chips out of the packet while sat on the beach makes me happy, that H put his jacket around me, despite him being cold made me feel cared for (little things mean much) and about 16. They dip pizzas in batter and deep fry them here!! I am happy I don't even like the look of that, I don't need the calories. I have sourced tartan wallpaper (Mulberry) it is fawn and heather and will go into the lovely house a treat, also two lovely Edwardian leather library chairs. all I need now is to get in and do it all!! I love planning, it makes me happy. Now for breakfast and time to actually do something productive I have procrastinated enough, but have had loads of time for internet browsing, how sad is that!! Author OWoman
I am happy to have the most wonderful lover, partner, friend and consort. I am happy that the first words we exchange each morning, and the last words we exchange each night (as well as throughout the day) speak to our love for each other. I am happy that after all these years he still turns me on as passionately, and I him, and that we have no need of others. I am thrilled at the prospect of spending the rest of our lives together, and excited at the adventures that lie ahead.
