The Happy Thread

Recommended Posts

Work has been making me ill (and I'm missing loved ones) for so long, today and yesterday feel like a fresh start and I'm going to try and work hard to leave the rut, so I'm happy about that.

Things between mum and I seem better, seems like we're BOTH trying a little, so that's lovely.

My son is in a new phase at school, new pressures and challenges and seems to be taking it seriously and enjoying it (not like his mum at the same age) so that's great.

My boyfriend and I have just booked for a long weekend round some historic places I've always wanted to go, very much looking forward to a break from Everything!

Looking forward to life being a bit less of a slog for a while :)

Happy Friday to you all!!!! :bunny::bunny:

This may sound strange, but I'm happy my sweet man got hit on by a gal half his age at work yesterday. It's good to know you still got it!

My sexy baby!

Husband picking up his children and they are coming to spend TWO straight weeks of summer vacation with us :D

It's going to be so fun.

Chaotic, too, but fun.

Err, it will be if I go to sleep. I'm an old woman now and shouldn't be up past 11. ;)

Happy my MM remembers all my likes and dislikes..

Happy my MM likes to get in a comfy spot when we are ready to chat.

Happy I can rely on every Saturday early morning chats ( and I usually hate mornings)

Happy my MM is considering going back to school to finish up the degree he really wanted even If just him and I feel he should.

Happy most of the time my MM can read my mind like no other.

Most of all happy I met my MM and will never feel different no matter how it ends up. He has changed how I look at a lot of things and has truly helped me grow !!:love: Love my MM

He doesn't need a degree. Just let him make money reading people's minds.. :D

Feeling so content. This is a terrific weekend and I'm in the conservatory listening to the light rain on the roof (love that noise) and watching the birds in the garden.

All plans are off due to weather. I may be forced to put on a old movie and curl up with the two men I love and veg on the sofa, and maybe even be so energetic as to do some jigsaw. Ahhhh.... simple, simple pleasures!

Hope everyone's enjoying their weekend :D

Better than having to curl up with veg on the sofa...

It's been a wonderful weekend here too. Had friends around and laughed so hard my ribs still ache, am hangover-free despite an obscene amount of cocktails, and am chilling for a while before another night of fun on the town.

He can only read my mind. But if he could read your mind all he would see is you commenting on this forum day and night :D

If he could see it, why would he need to read my mind:confused:? Ding!

Think see it (visualize it ) in his mind. Ding ding :p

Not a chance. If he can't visualize what being faithful to the a marriage means...he has little chance of visualizing much else.

What a busy weekend, my lovely H and I sat on the beach last night, freezing, just watching the world tick by because I had the urge to photograph the sunset, which is late up here. Took loads of pics then realised no memory card in camera. But was followed by a lovely hot bath  and massage in front of the fire. Bloody Happy I can tell you.

We have moles, loads of them, we don't have a lawn more like a series of dirt mounds, I have read they don't like noise, so have put a pair of novelty musical socks in one of the holes weighted down with a small stone. Forgot to tell H who came rushing in to tell me he can here Jingle Bells coming from the molehill. Hmmmm, shall I let on??

Our lovely son arrives in two days, frantically getting his room ready, it still isn't thank God for insomnia I have done loads tonight (this morning) am now officlally knackered so off to bed.

Happy Days all, Seren xx

Back home after a quick trip out of town visiting my parents, grandmother, great aunt for a very small memorial service for my great uncle. It was both a sad and happy occasion and I am so happy I was able to go. That H took care of getting the kids to camp (and did a great job of it).

However the house......is a little scary after 5 days gone! :p

But as happy as I was to go, I'm even happier being home where I belong. The one thing that always seems reinforced when I come back from visiting my relatives is that my home is here, with him, with the kids, the cats and the bird. This is where I belong and am wanted.

What a lovely way to feel CCL, I agree, home is definitely where my heart is and even more so today, our lovely son is home for a week. Lots of cooking and feeding him (why do we Mum's do this)? and wine drinking and dancing in the kitchen. He so makes my heart sing and we laugh like drains. Yay for my boy. He is a Policeman in London and I so worry about him, do we ever stop?

I am so tired I typed knackered into my username to log on and then couldn't understand why it did it three times. Time to catch up on some sleep soon. New bed ordered, a beautiful maple sleigh bed now to get it up the stairs!!!

Thanks swimming for the mole tip, I shall try pouring loads of water down the hundreds of holes this weekend. I have images of an Esther Williams extravaganza with the moleys coming out in a suitable pose. I so need meds!

It doesn't get properly dark here at the moment, the birds are singing at three in the morning, which I love. The world was so still this morning and I got to see a few deer and some badgers. I was so, so happy. What a fab place this is, makes me supremely happy.

happy Days All xx

Had a lovely birthday party for my kids over the weekend. My exH BBQ'd and brought his new W along. She doesn't speak English, but I speak the two languages she does speak and we had such a lovely time.

She didn't come at first, she was so nervous to spend time in my home. My kids were not very accepting when they M when the ink wasn't even dry, so I suppose she knew that I knew that they started their R before my exH was D'd (but I was actually happy for him).

So I suggested emailing her to break the ice since she didn't seem to think I would be very nice to her. My exH said that he explained I WAS a very nice person but he just couldn't get her to come with him. Well, after he called and told her I was dismayed that she didn't come, she agreed to give it a try.

She told me that she could tell I was a very honest person and that I had a joy-filled spirit. She said my house had good energy too. When she left she kissed both of my cheeks and said, 'Until next time my sweet White Flower'. I think I adore her.

What a lovely woman you are, White Flower.

I'm happy having had a completely just me and H day. I even attacked him on the couch while we were watching tv in the afternoon. Soo nice having some kid free days.

I've been avoiding the "happy thread" not knowing if I really fit in here yet.

I'm happy that today is over. I'm happy that I've remained strong and am standing upright and still here.

My 5 y/o daughter left with her dad (exh) today for a week vacation with his parents and she gave me a big hug and kiss and said goodbye, happy to be with her dad and fly on an airplane. I'm happy for her.

This is probably all lame shi$, but I am happy that tomorrow is a new day!

Wiser - there is no lame happy. It truly is a happy thing that tomorrow is a new day. And the happy thread is for all of us. No matter who we are, what we are, happy is good. ;)

Not lame. Welcome to the thread!!!!! :)

I'm happy because I have a FABULOUS weekend planned. I've only ever left my son for one night at a time before, whether for business or pleasure, but I have a proper little break away coming up (will bloody miss him mind you - but he's got loads of plans and has been looking forward to it ).

Not sure I'm SO enamoured with the idea of the annual dinner with about 50 golf nuts, but boyfriend says I'll have a ball... to be fair the last thing like that I went to with him they treated me like an absolute princess, bless them. :) I have clothes shopping, swimming, sauna, massage, haircut, romantic dinners and countryside walks coming up, in a gorgeous area of the country. Hard life :D

Lovely son home, very happy Mum here. Watched he and H cutting logs, this progressed into an unspoken who can cut the thickest logs with the least chops competition. I am sure this is a man thing. Me and the dogs watched bemused in the sunshine. I love both my man people so much.

Have sent them off to buy yet more power tools, of course they have to be heavy duty (!) I anticipate a weekend of much macho gardening. It's like living with two frontier men, just wish they would stop with the any chance of a beer requests. I am so not a frontier woman, I was perusing the Boden catalogue for suitable country clothing!!

I had one of those, Ahh, all is well in the world moments in the middle of the night. H gently (?) snoring in the lovely new bed, son all tucked up and the sound of the newly installed sheep and lambs baaiing. Felt snug and smug that everything is coming together so well. Now to stop having the what if it all goes wrong feelings ...

Friday night is fish and chips down the beach nights, weekend is BBQ, more gardening and a trip to the garden centre to collect my roses.

Have a lovely weekend all Seren xx

Both H and son are off to collect the chicken coop, girls arriving later. H and son then to erect dog proof fencing followed by a Sunday dinner to end all dinners and much watching of the world go by with a particularly good red.

I have discovered the wonder of dahlias, such intricate flowers, all foldy and pretty. Much planting tomorrow and deer proofing. Little buggers so love my plants.

Father's Day today, my Dad has been dead for 30 years, I so miss him, wish he had met H and our son. Son made Dad breakfast this morning along with a card and some Dad music CD's. Given with a huge hug and an ILY Dad. I was so touched, made me wipe a tear or two. I love both my men muchly.

The gamekeeper says he has mini incediary devices to cope with the mole problem!!! I have visions of them having little tin hats on and our garden being like the Somme. No! I shall just have to like bumpy grass.

Siberian Forest kitten soon to join us, beautiful boy, smoky coloured and enough fur for the cold. He shall be called Alan.

Happy Sunday Seren xx

Ahhh... The Happy Thread.

I don't remember the last time I felt this happy. I'm talking years though, not days, weeks or months. I have peace in my heart and feel loved and appreciated by those I love and appreciate.

I wish good things for all x

I'm happy about all the fun things I've gotten to do with my son and stepkids.

Though I think I'm almost out of energy with five children about. I even skipped two workouts last week (I workout twice a day normally). I think when they go home I will sleep for three days straight.
