longlegzs80
The more and more that I think of this Los Vegas trip the more excited I get. But, it just blows me away that out of all those people at my gym at the gym party who could have won the VEGAS trip, but it was me who won. I just find it so amazing. Do any of you think this is a sign? Maybe to get motivated and move away from home and apply to different graphic design jobs and possibly have travel in my future? I just find it so bizarre, but I seriously think this is some kind of sign. I just can't put my finger on it. But, I never win anything and for me to win such a big prize like a trip to VEGAS, just seems so unreal.
yes
i doubt it's a sign per se, but you can sure take it as the beginning of a new life-period! take it as the start of the time when you actively search for a job in your field, move out, work on your self-esteem, etc. and keep on going to parties - who knows what else you'll win -yes

And I am thinking about going in APRIL with a friend. It should be fun, but I just find it so odd that me out of all those people who won. Blows me away.

Author longlegzs80
I won a trip for 2 to VEGAS from that party that I went to on Saturday by my gym. I can't believe it. Anywho, I have thought alot about who to bring. And I look at it this way, the person has to have a good time and someone I can totally get along with and tolerate. I think this girl that I work with would be perfect. I have gone out with her before and we always have such a blast at work. So, I am going to ask her on Wednesday when I see her. But, I still have the feeling like it would be so great to have a man. Sorry for all of you who don't like me to keep bringing up the not having a man thing again. I will stop. Author longlegzs80
There is something about traveling that I have always wanted to do, so maybe going to VEGAS will jump start that part of my life. But, I am going to get help for myself because I just have to.

sarah12
longlegz - I have been reading your posts and I must say you have come a long way, even though I have only been on LS a short time. It's funny that you started this one because when I read your Las Vegas post, that is what I immediately thought of - that this is a sign telling you that things are starting to look up. I know that you are concerned about not having a significant other - but I think that you will see soon enough that you don't need a guy in your life to be happy. There are lots of single people out there, and we are not all moping around b/c we are single! Yes, it is hard to see a lot of your friends in serious relationships, especially at this age when every girl seems to be getting 'marriage jitters'. But I mean, there is no sense worrying about something that will come when it comes. I am about the same age as you, and I think that we should just enjoy our youth and the fact that we have few responsibilities being single and all. Go on this Las Vegas trip, and take a few more trips this year - it'll open up your eyes to what this world has to offer, and you will learn so much more about yourself and what you want. Author longlegzs80
Thanks SARAH12 and everyone else for your responses. But as far as me doing alot of stuff so far, I feel like I have not done alot at all. I just can't keep joining things because money is tight. I am going to have to get another job just for some side money and to save up more for my trip and other things I want to do with myself. I am totally pumped about going and can't wait to tell my one friend the good news. And it is funny about the whole situation. Last week before the party I asked my friend to go with me and told her there are prizes and the biggest prize is a trip to VEGAS. And she says if you win your going to take me right? Of course I did not say anything, but she is the best person to go with me because she is loads of fun. I need a change and this is a good change. Just something different in my life that will spark something positive. I can't wait. I know I should not be concerned about not having someone else in my life, but it is just something especially for a trip for 2 to VEGAS to have a companion. But, I will slow but sure get over that part. I need to focus on myself, which I have to a certain extent, but want to figure out other ways of bettering myself.
