and frustrated wanting to contact my ex.

Firstly hi everyone!

So my ex and i broke up a month ago. At that point it didn't seem to be working. Shes 28 and i'm turning 24 and there was worries about wanting different things etc.

But to cut it short she's sent me a facebook message like once a week because i am buying a festival ticket off her that we were going to. I told her id be around her town this weekend if she wanted to trade. I went out with my friends (last night/got drunk =)) and low and behold she was there and i'm sure she was there because she knew i'd be. I went over and said hello, was polite, how couldn't i be, i adore her.

Then i go thome to read this message ''When we got together you couldn't bare to be in the same room as your ex! not a prob with me apparently! what does that tell me?! hope you had a good night. see you next wk to sort ticket''. I got this at like 3 in the morning so am not sure whether to just write it off as a drunken text.

I've been fine with the breakup till today i guess. I miss her and want to hold her. But i'm so confused i have no idea whether she wants me and is having second thoughts or anything. She puts on a hard face...

I'm due to see her next week to get this ticket if it arrives.

 

So my question.

Do i reply to this facebook and explain? When i see her should i be how i want to be? (like a hug and just like a couple?)

The problem with responding to your post is you left out the most critical information.

 

You described the night you met by accident in some depth and detail. However, when it came to the cause of your break up, you just glossed over it. You wrote, "there was worries about wanting different things etc." Sorry, but that reveals NOTHING about why you broke up in the first place.

 

And that's really the critical issue here. If you haven't the conflicts that led to your break up in the first place, the chances of a second go round being any more successful are slim.
