peakey
Just browsing through the posts, I have come across so many entries about men who had affairs while their wives were pregnant. Or just after their wives gave birth. This happened to me too. My H's first affair began a few weeks after our first child was born. His third affair began while I was pregnant. I have my own opinions as to why this would happen, but can anyone else give me their insights and opinions?
InmannRoshi
My guess would be that the wife is focusing so much time on the baby that he starts seeking attention elsewhere.
Guest
Because he wants sex and can't, or won't, wait until the wife completes the pregnancy and her body heals. Maybe he doesn't equate sex with love and doesn't think it is cheating. Some men don't consider it cheating if their wife is pregnant or has recently given birth, it is simply a physical fulfillment. In some cultures it was or is common practice to seek sexual fulfillment outside of marriage if one partner cannot perform. Some cultures consider masterbation wrong and rather than masterbate it is better to find someone else to relieve the physical need for sex. A woman arousal is not considered necessary to be fulfilled, but a man gets an erection and that must be satisfied. Maybe some of the behavior today is a left-over from some of those older cultures. doniker
I thought my wife was sexy when pregnant; larger breasts, more hairy due to the prenatal drugs. We had intercourse 1 week before she gave birth. Any new father that would cheat isn't only cheating on his wife, he is also cheating on his new baby. Scumbag.
