pandagirl
It's been four months since the bf moved away. The beginnings -- as shown from my posts here -- were rough. Lots of fear and doubt on my part. Our relationship was so new when he left, that I didn't feel secure and I didn't know how to trust him. It's still a new relationship (six/seven months), but I'm getting the hang of this LDR thing. In fact, as those of you in LDRs know, it makes you a stronger couple. I have to say, there is something special about being able to lead two separate lives, while still maintaining a connection to each other. I still get upset from time to time, but I've relaxed... A LOT. It doesn't hurt anymore when I miss him; that aching and torment is gone. Now, it's just sort of a bittersweet moment, that is quickly followed by comfort, because I know he's there. There will be bumps in the road, but overall, I hope things continue to progress in this fashion!
Els
That's great! A few months is usually the make-or-break time where newly-created distance is concerned, IMO - you either learn to live with it and carry your relationship through it together... or it breaks you. I'm so glad you made it.
