Your home is a ....what

Recommended Posts

Big house, little house, condo, in the city, in the suburbs, in the country.RV, houseboat ?? Own or rent?

What do you live in now/ what would you live if you could afford it.?

Why do you live this way?

I've had the house in the Suburbs but I find a suburban condo much better for me. Yard work and house upkeep was time consuming. Time I could hve been chasing money, chasing women, or just relaxing. Owership of any type home can be a ball and chain to carry but a condo is less so.

I live in the suburbs because I detest crime in the city, and country living is too far too commute.

When I retire I plan to have a very small house in the country. No condo fees and plenty of time to putter around doing yard work.

A tree house ...just kidding. :)

I've always had a thing for tree houses!

For now, I live in an apartment on the outskirts of the city.

I also have a rather secluded mountain cabin. Maybe, one day, I'll go live there permanently and build my treehouse.

Another fantasy I've always had is living in a lighthouse. Now, that would be a dream come true.

I rent. It's a 2 bedroom, 1000 sq.ft, and live alone.

My home is in a highrise, on the 18th floor, and I watch the clouds pass by. There are 2 balconies. One, off the master bedroom, has a view of the busy, bustling city and the other balcony, has a view of one of the Great Lakes.

After moving 6 times in 10 years, this will be my final stop, maybe. :)

It's my smidgen of heaven.

Moutain cabin, treehouse, and lighthouse....I could have written that myself. When/if either one of us obtains such dwellings...we should invite the other over.

This has to be a trick question. Untill I'm retired, I'll get my veggies at the market.

A house by the beach and I love it.
I always enjoy visits to the beach but could never get used to it full time.

None the less it must be GREAT for a beach lover.

It really is great plus my house is paid off. Nothing beats stepping on the deck in the morning and smelling the ocean air. I put a hamock in the back as well and on a nice my wife and I cuddle with each other and watch the waves on the ocean.

Rambling casual rancher on acreage amongst the bountiful almond orchards and vineyards of Central California. A sanctuary from civilization. A place where a possum walks the patio and a pheasant resides in the front yard and the cat has 'real' estate to roam unfettered by fences and human limitations. If it was big enough to have an airstrip, it would be nirvana :)

Right now.. I'm living in a condo (for sale) it's beautiful, very luxurious.. quartz countertops, granite, etc..

I just bought a house, I'm presently renovating it.. finishing the basement, etc..

I also own a house in a small town that I rent.. I've had the same tenants for the last 8 years..

Life is good.. :bunny:

ah, Woggle, that smell is wonderful. My best friend still lives in Corpus Christi, so when I drive down to see him, there's a big sense of excitement driving up to the city limits, because at a certain point, the AC goes off, the windows go down and I'm just breathing in all that salty Gulf air .... nothing can compare to that smell of "seawater":love::love:

I'm in the Pineywoods, and live on a one-acre tract outside one of the big cities in a 3/2 brick home. And I've got the best of both worlds: Seven miles from my office, about as far from two of the town's Super WalMart stores, grocery stores and a slew of businesses, but still feels like I'm in the country. Coolest part is that every spring, the guy who owns the pasture across our farm-to-market road plants stuff, so throughout the summer we see them harvesting tomatoes, melons, corn, squash, etc.

good to see you back, Lizzie! Your post makes me wonder, though: Are basements more of a homeowner's liking the further north one goes? Off the top of my head, I cannot think of any homes in the area, among family or friends here that have a basement, though I do know that my friends' home in Connecticut has a basement ...
