My one and only CE.

One of the downsides to a LDR. Hope things get better for you.

I know I get to hug him and kiss him again very soon (2 days!) but I want it now! :p

You both so cute!

Thanks, we got to talk and I feel much better. Missing him heaps, still! :)

That's very soon, CE!!

Missing him terribly and it sucks that I'm not there with him. We are both upset over something his friend said. It's so stupid and I can't believe how people think all Asian women are the same!

So sweet of you to ask. :)

It's a woman, whom he befriended after finding out that she is a foreigner in his country -- wanted to ask her how she went about getting her temp residence et al. He told her about me and that I'm Asian.

Apparently, she said she thought about his relationship over the weekend and that I'm only in it for a better life. If I wanted a better life, his country would be the last place I'd go to. She said that I'm only pretending to be in love with him and once I get there, he will see my true colours.

Of course BF told her off and that he knows me well enough that I wasn't in it for the money. In fact, I'll be working in his country. It pisses me off that she kept trying to tell him that he has got it all wrong.

I can't wait to get there! I'd love to give her a piece of my mind!

That's awful, but really no surprise. I'd be shocked if I don't get the same reaction from some of my bf's friends actually. But yes Asian women in particular seem to have this stereotype. People sometimes can't believe you would move to be with someone you love just because you plain love them, because they've never left their own little bubble and think nowhere else is better than the place they've spent their lives.

Oh that's just mean, but some people are close minded and always want to be negative about everything. My boyfriend's mom told him and his dad that I was only interested in coming to see him (on my last visit) so I could get up there, get him to impregnate me, and get away from my family. That woman's a piece of work I tell ya, but she's gotta get used to me because I plan to stick around for a LONG time.

I agree -- I think some people can't comprehend that people actually do love their partner enough to want to move thousands of miles away to be with them!

They are close-minded! We both don't get why she's shoving her opinions down his throat.

 You go, girl!

I hope all goes well for you both, CE and aerogurl87!

So I'm new here, and new to LDR, and all that goes on around it... And yep, I just felt the need to post in this thread. We live three hours apart and both are doing very demanding courses in uni. Distance and schedules keep us apart a lot. My reason for joining was the fact that I just heard the song 'Need you now' by Lady Antebellum, and realised that if I don't start expressing my emotions and concerns somewhere, I might just explode. So here's a post: I miss my boyfriend, and can't contact him atm as he is on holiday (But he sent me a text today from the beach:love:). But - only 2 days until I see him again =).

3 hrs apart?! I am sooo jealous!:mad:

You know, Emmie -- that song and Gotta Be Somebody (or something like that) by Nickelback are my BF's favourite songs. I think both are at #1 for him. :p

Yes, joining aerogurl in welcoming you to LS!! :bunny:
