Vivid_29
Friends - I just received a set of tarot cards and had a reading done, which I found extremely interesting. Anyone had any accurate readings? If so, did they benefit you in any way? Right now, I am currently learning how to do readings. It's pretty neat and looks like fun! ~V

moimeme
All I know is that every card of any sort I've pulled which purports to tell my fortune lately has basically said that I should be courageous and take risks. I didn't think I was that much of a chicken, but what the heck... a little more adventure couldn't hurt LOL. It's either a major coincidence or Somebody's trying to tell me something
Moticia2k1
Have had many tarot readings over the years... most have been way off the mark, but some have been so accurate and detailed that my hair has stood on end! Before others point out the obvious.... I am well aware of the fact that one should never provide the "reader "with any information! A yes, no, or irrelevant is the only response one should give when having any type of "fortune" telling done. About 8yrs ago I bought some tarot cards and spent many hours studying their meaning. I then started doing readings for friends, friends of friends and people who had heard by word of mouth. No charge, I did it purely out of interest. Each reading took on average about 15mins! All I did was to interpret the cards and what the "spread" signified. No waffle... no mumbo jumbo just what the cards before me represented. I was astounded by their accuracy! I did not "tune in" to any psychic ability although I believe we all have one, just "read" the cards. Would take too long to go into the history/mystical properties/significance of the tarot.... but there is definitely some force there, for want of a better word. Each to his own........ we all all have times of uncertainty in our lives and if we seek comfort and guidance from some spirituality outside recognised religion, we are free to do so. For the record.... There is no greater power than God, however you worship him. I am a Christian who has an open mind to all that seeks to help my fellow man. We have no power beyond that which the creator has given us. Morticia2k1 x
Darkangelism
I have tried to find if tarot cards actually work and they have had a decent success rate, but a lot is self fufilling prophecy.
mfrmboy
I have a friend thats a witch and have had my cards read many times over the years with great accuracy and detail. She being a friend only reads the future for me because past or current she knows. Everything that has happened in the past year she warned me ahead of time and the things she has predicted are happening still. She does'nt just say what the cards mean but actually tells you what will happen. Good luck with the cards.

Thinkalot
Hey Vivid... I have tarot cards and enjoy using them. I have also had readings done, which I have found to be pretty close to the mark. I go to meditation classes and have a strong belief in spirituality. Enjoy the cards! May they provide you with some insights.
reasontosigh
So one could do readings for oneself? From what I've seen so far it seems best, at least initially, to have a reading done for you by someone else. It would make sense at least as far as objectivity goes, eh? Kat
everyone has to believe in something. Some people believe in themselves, others believe in what could be. Hence why astrology and tarot are so popular

YssaBoo
I had one done last weekend and it was really scary on what she knew. I gave her no info and she told me things and mentioned specific words that this person used and only I knew it. My bf and I recently broke up and I just wanted to have an idea on where to go with my life and I was in awe. She knew about the horrible last relationship the last breakup and what the words were that he only he used. She said that he loved me very much, but because of his family problems he couldn't deal with a relationship at this time and just wanted to stay friends and go from there. All of this started with his mother and his past from the time he was 8. She said he would be in my life and needed time to sort things out and to give him that time. She said she saw us together and that I would marry someone in the medical field. At the time he was planning on being a psychologist, since the other day he has changed to a dental lab asst. I believe with all my heart that this is my destiny and I am the one who has control,I am giving him the time and he knows that I love him.He told me that night that we broke up that he didn't think that he could give me love at that time and felt weak in the knees when I said I couldn't be just a friend. Since that time I am doing the friend thing and it is getting better.I feel like when we first started dating and that is good
