Ilovecake
I am attending a wedding this Saturday. It's an evening event in a nice restaurant. The couple have a website which states "Do not go all out and rent a tux or a gown but do wear a suit and tie. Don't be the dits showing up in jeans or shorts" Not much is said about female guest attire. My question: Is it OK for a woman to wear pants to a wedding? I was thinking of wearing a nice pair of cigarette pants with a great classic top and some very nice heals. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
melodymatters
Why not ? I would wear whatever I was comfortable in and looked good on me. It doesn't sound like they are going to be super uptight about their guests attire. Did they really write that "dits" comment and isn't it spelled ditz ? lol
Author Ilovecake
Thank you. I hate dresses and skirts and this is only the 3rd wedding in my entire life that I'm attending. Yes they did. They're crazy punk rock artists. I think they spelled it correctly and I messed it up, at least I hope so since they're both teachers. On their RSVP it said I will enthusiastically attend. or I will enthusiastically not attend. I though that was cute.
melodymatters
I'm not sure if it's a "real" word anyway ! Well, from what you added, the crazy punk rock artist thing, I would feel even more safe wearing whatever I wished. Besides, what you have planned sounds very classy, and elegant ! have fun !!!! make me believe
That outfit sounds perfectly fine to me. I think the "ditz" comment on their website was kinda rude though..
