A question about the Shack?

How has LoveShack effected your new relationships? Has reading about other people's problems and offering advice helped bring stability and better communicationto your new or old relationships? Just curious...

It's helped me communicate better with my kids. I just couldn't believe some of the crap they would tell me about and the things they are exposed to. They need help to deal with it and just seeing some of the topics and how they are discussed and the attitudes and fear and mind-sets of some of the posters here has helped me to get a grasp on what my kids see and hear. I give better guidance now and my kids are more comfortable talking with me also. Behind closed doors my spouse and I are still sadly in awe of the world today and very happy that we grew up when we did, with the restrictions (secular and religious) that we used to complain about!

A number of the discussions (and ensuing offline discussions with friends) have caused me to dig more deeply into the whys of my beliefs, values, and feelings as well as to understand others more. The better I know me, the more useful I can be to others. Same goes for understanding others. Other discussions have raised questions that twigged me to do more research; and in so doing I dug up links and information which I've passed on.

LS can be a lot more than a problem-solving forum, which is what's so addictive. At its best, it's really a reciprocal form of self-development, IMHO. It's not the best nor the only one, but it's mighty handy :)

Yes, I have done things and told people to do things differently(my friends not shackers) then I would have normally. The shack is a guide, not the absolute truth, but I love the shack, and that is why I post so much.

I have met some really cool people on here, and they should know that I am talking about them.
