pandagirl
I've been averaging visits with the bf about every 5-6 weeks, which was working out fine, but this time it's going to be two months! Those who have read my older threads know that we fight about scheduling trips, but he has gotten better about it since our talks. We talked about it last night and he said that he is on consecutive deadlines until the end of July, meaning he's working 65-70 hour weeks. He said that he doesn't want me to come until his last deadline is over, because he wouldn't be able to spend time with me, he would be tired, and also, yes, I would probably get restless/annoyed/bored if I just had to watch him work. After our last fight over scheduling, this was the resolution: he promised to plan trips with me earlier, and I would be try to be more understanding of this work demands. So, this is the result of our compromise. Damn his job!

Author pandagirl
haha. Yes, it is good that he has a job, and I totally support him in his career... I just it wasn't so hard! 65-70 hours includes weekends, so I guess spread out it isn't so bad, except for working on Sat and Sun.

Kamille
Ah that really sucks Panda. I really have no words of advice except: get busy with your own life. It's summer! Go visit friends and family and keep busy. I'm usually not one to recommend head games, but I'm thinking that if you handle this gracefully and keep an active happy life on your side, he'll appreciate you even more... And possibly realize that he's missing out. Workaholics. Sigh.
JacquesA.LeFrancais
My S/O and are back to our 4-6 week rotation after 7 months apart, this is our second visit back on rotation...it was not easy at all 12 days and counting...lol Work, and especially $$ got in the way. Fortunately we are relatively back on track. Thank god!
aerogurl87
what is he doing working on the BP oil spill?? LMAO. You're too funny sometimes. But pandagirl, 65-70 hours a week is crazy. My boyfriend will soon be working crazy hours though, so I'll probably be complaining about it too soon.
