BrainRightHeartWrong
hello, my gf of 4 months who i fell madly in love with eventually left me over 2 months ago, just around that time she split with me she commented on how the clematis plants we planted in my back garden in the autumn ( fall ) had all died... i have been doing the no contact rule ever since but she keeps contacting me inviting me out etc. and it seems like the contact is growing all the time, i have sensibly or not agreed to mind her pet again for 6 days while she is away, she obviously wants me to mind it and not her housemate for whatever reason i just noticed last week that the dead clematis plants have all begun to grow new buds and new shootings all of a sudden ( in January in freezing conditions! ) and was wondering could these possibly correlate to a new start or a chance between us? or have i been watching too much ET? No, if you end up together, oracle plants are not to blame.
Author BrainRightHeartWrong
how can you really be sure? have you not seen ET? i don't know dyermaker while i admire your logic, i am approaching 30 and have begun again to feel more spiritual and believe in gods ( whatever they may be again ) i became a total logic head from a teenager until recently and it ends up a horrible way to think in my opinion i met some great people recently, earthy type people who are great gardeners, put crystals besides their plants etc. which they say grow in an amazing fashion who really knows the relationship between the earth, planets, people, animals and plants? just last year while always being an atheist, a lot of people said prayers for me and i thought 'well thank you for your concern' and the unexpected against all odds happened, i ended up with a fantastic unexpected result so i'll have faith in my plants, nuture them, talk to them, feed them and we'll see what happens, in the end the plants should benefit anyway! dyermaker
ET came from the same man who ruined AI. I believe in God myself, and don't look down on the spiritual beliefs of any person. I also believe in the power of prayer. I love it when Harvard or whoever does a study trying to discredit prayer, and they always seem to fail. Personally, I have not found any psychic connection with nature whatsoever--I was just offering my opinion on the prophetic plant issue, not calling you crazy. If you feel that this connection is healthily guiding you in your relationships, and especially if you are empowered to act in such a healthy manner--Rock On
Author BrainRightHeartWrong
aha so if kubrick was still alive AI would have been good? i can't say i've never seen it but i take your word for it I love it when Harvard or whoever does a study trying to discredit prayer, and they always seem to fail interesting ... the whole scientific rationality community versus the spiritual community... my view is whether or not one is righteous over the other spirituality suits us humans better than scientific rationality, i don't know but perhaps the evolution of man until recently always included spirituality, religion or magic or whatever so maybe that is why? or maybe because spiritualality is indeed more righteous! explore your connection with the earth dyermaker, it will help you, even if it just means putting back in what you take from mother earth! recycle as much as you can, use organic materials, drive a more environmentally friendly vehicle etc. ( a bicycle for me! ) if we look after the earth it will look after us ( well until we get hit by a comet but thats not the earths fault... oh it is... GRAVITY! )

It's like reading a book written in two different colors, you can watch the movie and go "ah, kubrick" or "wtf, spielberg, vaminos!" * I recycle and take a walk on the beach, but I plan on driving an unsafe and unfriendly Trans AM. SoleMate
I feel like a heel, but... the clematis plants we planted in my back garden in the autumn ( fall ) had all died... the dead clematis plants have all begun to grow new buds and new shootings all of a sudden ( in January in freezing conditions! ) Clematis is a deciduous plant, of which many varieties tend to resprout quite early in the season. Many other plants will do the same. Some plants, like hellebore, forsythia, and snowdrop, will even bloom when covered with snow. Good luck with your ex-gf, but just one word of advice...don't let her use you as petminder, willing shoulder, sex toy, or anything else. If you want all of her, you need to insist that she not just ask for a part of you. Know whut I mean?
lost_in_chgo
Yep, it's an omen. Good thing those flowers bloom anytime. That's a sign of a new beginning. Flowers blooming out of season are a death omen. Really... these things are interpreted many ways. Hawks are supposed to be an omen of an encounter with a powerful opponent. The last day my ex and I spoke, a hawk swooped low thru my yard above my head as I come out to my car. I've never seen a hawk there or within miles in the ten years i've lived here. The point is that we notice the unusual and try to find meaning in it. Is it a sign given to you by someone? by your own subconscious? by the earth? Does it matter where it comes from? GoldfingerCymru
If the plants are an omen - do you really want a relationship that dies once a year ?? Seriously though, go with what feels right for you. Personally, I don't know what I believe in at the moment. Everyone is programmed to say the same thing, like 'Plenty more fish in the sea'. The trouble with me is that I only liked one particular fish, not my fault it was a bloody shark!!
lost_in_chgo
Good point Gold, The more people you talked to the more you see the programmed responses. I have people accusing me of doing things immediately after I explained that I was doing the opposite. People see what they want to see sometimes. They color your situation with their history and can't see the objective reality.
caretoomuch
It is not reality that matters but others perception of reality. The real truth is usually somewhere in between two peoples perception of the truth. The problem is that you cannot change that perception no matter what you do. A person will make up their mind whether they like you or not within 30 seconds of your first meeting. That perception will influence that persons dealings with you for the rest of your relationship. Good luck trying to change anothers perception of you.
