Affordable (but nice) Bridesmaid dresses?

Hi everyone!

I'm new to the community and recently got engaged! We are planning our wedding for next summer out of state. Since 3 out of 5 of my bridesmaids will be traveling to the wedding I'm trying to keep the cost of the bridesmaid dresses really affordable for them since they will be flying and staying in a hotel.

The wedding will be formal, but I don't want them to have to spend a lot of money.

Does anyone have any good websites/designers where I can find bridesmaid dresses for $100 or less?

Thanks!

Try Davids Bridal or any Google search can bring up websites that cater to wedding attire.

Have you considered a customer design? Buy your own materials for the pattern then send it off for cut and sew? THere are plenty of websites that do that as well. And its cost saving in the long run because its already hemmed correctly and made to measurement

Check out the Maggie London dresses at Nordstrom and Macy's. My last BM dress was from Nordie's and was $96 I think.

Just search around different stores. Go onto message boards like "the knot" and see if there's any cupons. my sister got a cupon from there that made her bridesmaids dresses go down from $150 to $60.

I'm having my bridesmaids wear any dress they want that's navy blue. So some are choosing BM dresses from prior weddings; or blue dresses that were already in their closet that would work as a BM dress; others are finding things at price points that are comfortable for them. I don't care about material, hem length, or whether the blues match.

Forget the standard bridesmaid dresses since you're getting ripped off most of the time for poor worksmanship, poor material dresses at silly prices. Go find your dresses in the dress section of a decent store, then have them properly tailored to fit the girls.

Totally agree.

Even if they can't afford tailoring, you'll find much nicer dresses your bridesmaids won't cringe to wear at virtually any store other than a bridal store.

Hell, my cousin had her bridesmaids in dresses from J Crew's bridesmaid selection and they were actually pretty decent - just simple summer dresses that didn't make people's eyes bleed.
