I lean more towards what i perceive as cute because thats my taste. hot just seems to equal high maintenance....and thats never real attractive.....lol......

It is reserved for lucky (puppies,kittens, and babies) and the damned like me. Are there any men out there that would be interested in someone that is "cute/average"? I'm starting to fear the answer to that question is no. If you are under 5'4" tall and have a babyface, then "cute" is a pretty good description. Some guys do actually go for cute. Its not the end of the world.

I like telling girls they're pretty. but honestly you got to stop worrying about how guys compliment you and start focusing on how you like the way you look. Attitude is an important factor in attractiveness.

There is only one girl that I have every told she was beautiful, and it may very well stay that way for the rest of my life. From a guys point of view, I find cute to be more endearing than telling someone they're "hot" or "sexy" which makes it seem like my only interest is physical, while it is very, very rare to find someone that you consider truly beautiful, because beauty isn't merely physical so it requires being able to know enough of the person to know how they appear on the inside. I know that the girl i find to be beautiful beyond measure is only considered cute by many. it is all a matter of perspective, and if you haven't found someone that considers you beautiful yet, you may simply need to keep looking until you find the right companion

To those who say cute isn't a bad thing and you like cute. Good for you. I sincerely mean that. But speaking from a person who's been on the end of the "you're cute" speech, it's a sad thing to be called. If cute is better than being labeled as hot, then I don't get why I'm still single. I get all the time from my female friends that I have a friendly, awesome personality. So I guess either they're giving Pinocchio a run for his money or it really does suck to be cute. I know I'm coming off cynical, but when you've gone more years than you can count without a guy asking you out, it's hard not to be. Sigh. LonelyHB

A friend once said a girl said I was cute, but I think over here they mean cute as in puppy dog cute, not sexually attractive.

I consider some folks physical being as "cute", attractive , young and energetic. I consider some folks wit as "cute"....off the cuff humor style. As a previous poster indicated- its how one connotates it. To each there own I suppose. I just never gave thought that a positive word that is meant with kindness can be thought of as an insult....
