My dad being distant!

I JUST MET MY DAD. HE AS BEEN CALLING ME EVERY HOLIDAY. He called my for valentine day and i missed his call while i was driving. i didnt call him back until his bday in march. every since then he has not called me. I went to see him for farthers day. i told him i would be staying in town util the fourth of july and would he like to watch the fireworks with me cause it would be our first fourth of july. he said i dont know.

 

I went over to my aunt wich is his sister house and she invited me to hand out with her at her other brothers house. i said yes. i told my farther this and that i was just calling to let him know.

 

my dad called my aunt and she said i called you. i guess he asked to speak to me because she gave me the phone. my dad said did you call me. i said no. he talked for lil bit then hung up. he called at my aunts another day and told she said he said that he would talk to me later. my aunt started to laugh like it was funny he didnt want to talk to me. it just seems like some game. Then on the fourth of july he called my aunt and wished her happy fourth of july and once again she said he said he would talk to me later. i was hurt. i just left and mailed him back his bday card he gave me and the money he spent on me when we went out. i basically saying i dead from being his daughter and dont want to speak to him again.

I'm really sorry. It hurts to have an uninvolved parent. The only thing I can think to say is that, he hasn't had all these years of experience being your dad, so he doesn't know what it looks like. Maybe you could tell him what it would look like to you.

It might help a lot if you could ask him why he changed so much, was the valentines missed called that got him mad or what? You have to know.
