I'm really getting there...hope this encourages others who have been in the same boat

HI, as I said earlier today, I'm going to be on the site a bit less for a while...but I wanted to share:

 

I saw my psychologist again today, and he said I had made so much progress that I did not need to go back, unless I have a big setback or whatever :)

 

I am feeling so much better about myself and life now, it's great conquering obsessive thinking and insecurity. I'm not 100% there that's for sure (hence my recent questions for advice)...but well on the way!! :)

 

Thanks everyone for helping me along the way. It has been a huge support.

That's wonderful news! I'm glad you're doing so much better.

 

Did he give you some kind of exercises to do to help you with this, books to read, or what? Just curious......

Hi Fancy..I just popped by to check on the site...

 

If you read a thread I posted in this section a little while ago it outlines some of the methods I've been, and still am, using...its called 'techniques for overcoming obsessive thoughts" or something like that..

THINKALOT: I am so glad for you that you see an incredible change in your attitude and the way you feel about yourself. I find that with you keeping us posted on the antidepressant drug your on that it is inspiration and makes me think it could really really do wonders for myself if I go on antidepressants.
