Kamille
BF and I miss each other so much that we decided to both chip in and he's coming to see me again in a month! Then I will be back home a mere three weeks after. So excited!!! It's going to be so much fun. He was here in June, but I already know the city a lot better since he last came and I can't wait to show him my new favorite hang outs... Now, if only August could fly by. Pyro
:D My bad. Slightly better but still a long time... Who's going to visit who? Summer in Australia? That is around the time when hopefully the visa stuff will be processed and she'll be moving here. We had talked about me going there between semesters but chances are that will be around the time she is ready to move here, so it wouldn't make sense. Once she is settled in here then we will work on taking a trip over there.

This is my third long-distance relationship but the first where I miss him so much that it hurts. I think I finally let someone be a full part of my life.

Honestly if CE and I didn't work out I don't think that I could do another LDR. They are tough.
Author Kamille
Thanks. wow three? Honestly if CE and I didn't work out I don't think that I could do another LDR. They are tough. Yeah... I moved around a lot in the last 15 years... One guy was from my hometown but I lived in another city. This was in my early twenties. The other guy was my most serious ex. We lived together for two years and then I got accepted into a PhD program an ocean away. We only lasted LDR for 3 months. This current LDR was different from the start. A) BF was truly supportive of my plan to move here B) I understood better that it was going to be tough C) We're just better communicators in general than in the other two. Or, I have learned to be a better communicator.
Pyro
Since you can't be physically together, communication becomes that much more important.
Els
Great to hear that, Kamille!
Author Kamille
That is really awesome. Since my boyfriend and I started dating we have been very good about seeing each other every 2 months, but we were going to skip August and wait until October this time (due to finances). One day last month we were talking and he said "I really miss you. I want to see you in August because I don't want to wait until October." So we decided we were going to pool our money together, but then his mom swept in and bought the tickets as a birthday present for him. That's so great and so sweet of his mom. A girl once told me that being in an LDR is a good thing because it helps you appreciate the person more. I disagree with this. I greatly appreciate my boyfriend when I am with him or without him. I don't need distance to see how much I appreciate him. What the distance has done is taken our communication to a level that I don't think anyone (except for those who are in an LDR) would understand. He's a lucky but I totally I agree. I don't need distance to appreciate my bf. I can't wait to appreciate him in person!
