FL Lady
HI. I need some suggestions for a nice romantic date. I've been dating this girl for about a month and i want to take her on a romantic date so i can talk to her about becoming official. Ladies please help me out here. Thanks In the Miami area there are several nice parks, flower gardens, and Key Biscayne for the beaches. The Aquarium & Zoo if she loves animals. Many nice restaurants too from West Palm Beach and south to Coral Gables. The only thing that stinks down here right now is the weather. I'm in the Naples area and it's the same over here. Author DM85
yeah, weather is kinda unpredictable right now so i was thinking something indoors would be a good idea
carhill
The smells for such a date are coming right out of my kitchen as I type this. If you're talking about the 'exclusivity' talk, nothing better than doing it over a nice quiet dinner at home, IMO. This connects 'us' with 'home', presuming that's your path (a LTR). One potential of many, but that is my style.

Feelin Frisky
My most romantic date started with dinner at Wo Hop in NYC Chinatown and then dancing to the sounds of live reggae at the Ritz until 3. Our first kiss afterward lasted through all three records of the Clash's "Sandanista" on tape in my restored '68 Buick Riviera. We were "official" in the monagmous realtionship sense for the next 5 years after that.
carhill
parents... OK, how old are you? I'm thinking indoor venue (weather) which reflects your age, interests and provides a bit of romantic ambiance. In the old days, a dinner-dance would be a nice suggestion, but isn't really reflective of your generation and perhaps interests.

carhill
Budget for the date? This one is going to be on you.
Author DM85
don't really have a budget. that doesn't matter. meaning i don't mind spending money on her
InceptorsRule
This one is easy OP. Take her to a nice French restaurant. You know with cloth napkins. Nice bottle of wine. Yes it will set you back some $$$ but "French restaurant" = "romance." The setting should do 90% of the work for you. Use it to your advantage, take your Amex of course. carhill
Live anywhere near South Beach or can get there easily? If so, try Ola on James Ave. It's been awhile but I'd definitely go back. Reasonably priced, great food, loved the art deco (neuvo) architecture and this whole area is hopping on the weekends. Great place to walk. We stayed in North Beach at the Ocean Surf but SOBE was where the action was. Beach is close by for a nice moonlight stroll if the weather cooperates.

This is a great idea because most of the nice places in Miami have a Latino flavor or American steakhouse ( which is my favorite). But for a nice treat and surprise try something different. Another idea, go to Zagats and look at their top rated restaurants in the area. Edited August 14, 2010 by FL Lady
