tphillip
I'd like to know what people's opinion of eHarmony is. I don't necessarily buy into the ads I've seen for the service, but on the other hand I'm game to try it. But for a 1 month cost of $50, I wonder if I'd get my money's worth. Tell me what you think. moimeme
I wanted to try their quiz so ended up on their roster. They keep sending me news of 'matches' which, of course, I'd have to pay for to learn about. Most other personals sites will let you read the profiles of your supposed 'matches' before you decide if you want to join. I see that LS has match.com as one of its advertisers - I have a friend who's been pretty happy with it so perhaps you'd want to try it instead.
Thinkalot
What is it?
Arabess
You can do a 'google' search on 'dating sites' and get a overall comparison on who charges and who is free. What you get for your money. Which ones are rated the highest. All sorts of information. ICQ has a free deal going. I haven't checked it out, but a friend of mine said it was real good...considering it was FREE! Make sure and post what you find out. Lots of people in here would probably be interested in which sites prove to be the best. GOOD LUCK!
brashgal
eHarmony has a special going on for Valentine's Day. Search on eHarmony promotion to get the coupon code (3 months for the price of 1). I just joined. Give me a couple months, I'll let you know if it's worth it.
esperanza
Personally, I haven't had any luck with e-harmony. It's very restrictive as to what you can say in your initial profile. You have no control over who your matches are-- i.e., you can't browse the membership. I'm not renewing my membership when it expires this month. They do have promotional specials if you want to give it a shot. Maybe you'll have better luck.
MizzMo
I met the love of my life with eHarmony. If you are patient and picky the service works great. I did the three months for the price of one (VDAY20045566). I recommend this service for those that serious about having a mature relationship. Remember this is a Christian based service. brashgal
Well I'm not impressed - maybe it's just the guys in my age bracket, maybe it's the time of year, maybe it's where I live (I restricted it to local folks only), maybe it's just dumb luck but seems that most of the guys are looking for a trophy girlfriend who is financially independent and embraces traditional gender roles. If I embraced traditional gender roles I would not be as financially independent as I am today. I have had a number of matches but I find most of the men are so picky that I get excluded in the first or second go-around. So I won't be renewing after my 3 months is up but it has been interesting. I have not noticed a great emphasis on the Christianity aspect.
