melissa123
Hey everyone I have a few questions to ask. I am 22 and have been active and doing the same amount of exercise pretty much my whole life. Before I turned 19 I ate very badly. However after being exposed to a loss grief made me stop eating and my weight plummeted. After this my eating habbits changed and I managed to keep most of the weight off. However lately I notice my weight has been going up again. I am excerising more and eating just as normal so cant understand why it keeps going up. My hips seem to have widened massivly and I look like a balloon. All my pants are really tight round my hips but loose everywhere else. So basically the question I want to ask is does a females body shape still change at 22? Or am I just getting fat and not realising. Secondly my body shape is just horrendus. I am so ashamed and embarrased of it. I have an absolutly tiny upper body and completely flat chest. I have no waist or stomach whatsoever. However I have an absolutly MASSIVE bum and now HUGE hips and legs. My upper body would be a size 6 with my bum being a size 14 and legs size 12. Is there anything I can do to balance this out? It is utterly humiliating and I hate it!!!! I cant wear pants at all and it actually really gets me down! Id give anything to walk down the street in a pair of jeans Any help would be greatly appreciated

Mikki Mars
simple: cut carbs. No soda, sugar drinks, candy, cookies, chips, pasta, starchy veggies, and you'll lose weight quick. Also, add 10 mins a day minimum on an elliptical, which is easier than treadmill yet you do more.

You have a pear shaped body and probably perceive the problem to be much more pronounced than it actually is. I don't think a size 14 (I'm working in UK sizes, if not then I may need some help getting a picture of how they translate) is massive by any stretch of the imagination and if you are working out a lot the chances are you are well toned. If this is your natural body shape then there will always be a difference in your upper and lower body. Exercise- I know jack **** that is helpful Clothes I know! What you wear can have a huge impact on how you look and feel. It is important for pear shapes to balance the width of the hips by using tops/jackets that broaden the shoulders, making you seem more in proportion. I know the idea of adding bulk to the top might sound like a bad thing, but shoulder pads etc have been back with a vengence for a while and it really does minimise the bits you are less keen on. A great fitting pair of jeans will help make your bum feel smaller and a boot cut or flare will also help add balance, darker washes are most flattering and something that sits higher is better, avoid big back pockets they add bulk to the back. Oh and never underestimate the power of magic underwear! I hope it helps!
