9Lives
ha, well in the end that's what it's about! Everyone should strive to achieve personal happiness in this world. And you seem quite happy! The only thing that would make this better is a pic I kNEW you would say that! I might give you a snap shot. I dont know if I want to share my swagga with LS like that. I got to think about it
TaraMaiden
I nearly had it done about 14 years ago. Am delighted I never went through with it. I decided to accept myself exactly as I am, and not worry about the disproportion in my bust size to my hips.... I'm glad I did. As I've gotten older, things have balanced out nicely, and my breasts have actually increased in size. My partner thinks I look lovely (so do I) and is very glad I had nothing done. The surprising thing is, that when I contacted the Consultant to tell him I''d changed my mind about the op, and the reason why - he was absolutely delighted, and told me - "Good for you!" Just my 20 pence.....

TaraMaiden
Thank you, 9Lives....It's purely a personal thing, and I hope my post wasn't taken as intending to be a put-down. Everyone's different, and that was just my decision. And of course, let's not forget many women need breast enhancement for medical reasons sometimes, so I wasn't being callous. It was just a decision I came to, of my own accord. in actual fact, my ex-H was pretty miffed I'd changed my mind about it. he was rather hoping to have a pneumatic Dolly Parton look-alike, which basically reinforced my opinion of him as being somewhat shallow, particularly as he'd always banged on about "just do whatever makes you happy" and "I love you whichever way you look" and more 'humorously', "More than a mouthful's a waste"..... threebyfate
I don't think implants are disgusting but I do think that there's an element of non-acceptance or rejection of self. Why not do the best you can with what you were given and accept the rest? Really love who you are as a person so no one can move that solid core? Why must people be like others and buy into the silliness of universal attractiveness?

Why must people be like others and buy into the silliness of universal attractiveness? well let me ask you...do you color your hair so you can be blond or burnette or whatever? do you perm your hair so it can be straight or curly? is that a form of self rejection? most guys don't even KNOW mines are fake. JustJoe
some of us are not blessed with enough breast to ever worry about them sagging Inkie, If you have nipples, and your boobs are as big as 1/2 a cupcake, that's good enough for me.

The universal attractiveness standard says blondes have more fun. I didn't need to get invasive surgery to change the colour of my hair. I don't need to get my body pumped full of anaesthetic when I dye my hair. While I need to go back more often than you do to maintain colour, I don't need further surgery every 5 to 10 years to replace the blobs inserted beneath my skin, all for the sake of a band-aid solution. You didn't DO IT the WAY I did it but you changed your appearance. When you changed the color of your NATURAL hair to another color, you had some put a chemical strong enought to open the cuticles in your hair to make a PERMANENT change. you altered your god given hair color. its not what u was born with and about time I go get my titi touched up, you probably have spend maybe half the money I'm spending to Permanently change your hair color
JustJoe
Girls, girls, let's not bicker. Tuna, you have to admit that TBF has a point. There is a major difference between surgery and hair-coloring. TBF, modern augmentation procedures are very safe and completely reversable, so your worries are probably unfounded. Just call me......Joe, the peacemaker.

JustJoe.justbitterjoe...well if you don't like them, that's perfectly fine. you are alright with me. there are PLENTY of men who could care less. its not that big of a deal to me. I didn't become a woman when I got some boobs. if it makes my days on this earth happier and I'm not hurting nobody I really don't care what anyone thinks. I really dont! my family is cool with it. my kids are cool with it. so its all good. I enjoy them and if I took them out, I would still enjoy my body. the boobs don't make me but I like them. JustJoe
9lives, . I'm not saying you can't or shouldn't get implants. It's all good to me. I'm just saying I can feel the difference, that's all. They feel rubbery, and I'll stand behind that statement.

jamesum
All men who have seen real boobs and touched them can tell fakes from natural. I prefer saggy or small natural tits than weird looking tits that look like rocks hanging on the woman's chest. Its true that everyone has insecurity, but plastic surgery suggests that the person most likely has rock-bottom self-esteem. Edited September 17, 2010 by jamesum
