gypsy_nicky
1. Because you gave an exact definition of what they say and it bothers you. That means you're attracted to them. 2. It sounds like you enjoy thinking that you like geeky, shy guys, but in reality you go for alpha types (or guys copying them). 3. This guy is a typical alpha prototype. See my comments in the quote. 4. He gets in your head because you want him sexually. The other guys don't because you don't want them sexually. You want him sexually because *drum roll* You Like Alpha Males. The sooner you realize this, the more healthy you will be mentally. It isn't hard or confusing, it's plan as day. 5. Look at my note. It's not that they aren't attracted to you, it's that you aren't attracted to them. I wholeheartedly agree. Me thinks the OP is chasing men well above her league.
gypsy_nicky
It may also be the case that you think you like the sensitive musician type, but in reality you would lose interest if he wasn't confident, strong underneath and drop dead gorgeous also. I've known a few girls like this... to use a Blur analogy that not everyone will understand, they have a crush on poor insecure Graham Coxon, but in the long run would probably find themselves with Damon or Alex. Do you know what I mean? fixed for thread
The Collector
fixed for thread Well it generally helps - and having seen pics of Shadowplay, she is in the premier league regarding attractiveness - but I have also know too many uber-hot, in-demand women who have been involved with guys that were completely not drop-dead gorgeous. or rich. Just confident, talented, intelligent and funny was what turned them on.

Author shadowplay
I think from previous posts, and from your dream about 'Jared,' you are still a sucker for unavailable or (seemingly) uninterested men. It may also be the case that you think you like the sensitive musician type, but in reality you would lose interest if he wasn't confident and strong underneath/also. I've known a few girls like this... to use a Blur analogy that not everyone will understand, they have a crush on poor insecure Graham Coxon, but in the long run would probably find themselves with Damon or Alex. Do you know what I mean? Ha, I've always had a thing for Damon. I didn't realize he qualified as "alpha." I just thought of him as kind of quirky and zany.
SincereOnlineGuy
rant: I'm so tired of guys. All that matters is you look pretty. Sure, they want you to not be a total moron, but past a certain threshold who cares. What's really more of concern is the shape of your facial features, the diameter of your waist, at what angle your buttocks happen to point. See, you don't understand men at all: We don't care about the diameter of your waist. What matters to us is the circumference of your waist, for we are not familiar with standards for diameters. Men like detail, and they like processing/analyzing details. If you clearly listed the diameter of your waist on your internet profile, I don't think anybody would contact you. Getting an accurate measure of diameter would require a pretty invasive procedure, which could actually ruin the sample.
