How do you perceive God when you talk to Him?

I don't see God as having any particular form.

 

Although for me, getting into a calm and relaxed state seems to increase the likelihood of feeling especially connected, I believe that God is always there.

God to me is everything and I see God as having all forms and if this world is not to be destroyed, we need to choose the good.

 

Let me try to explain: any scientist worth his salt will say to us that everything (matter energy, whatever) is made of Information.

 

I come to the conclusion that the meaning of life is communication.

 

We are a part of the Universe and this is why we need to be with people - this is why it is bad for us to be lonely and isolated. We need to (positively) communicate, otherwise our existence is meaningless.

 

Let us relate for that is the meaning of life.

Remember the scene in "Contact" where the young Ellen Arroway was trying to talk to her dead father on that big old 2-way radio? I think if we walked around with little walkie-talkie antennas wired to our heads, we could get our prayers out better. Maybe churches, mosques, and synagogues should install big antennas on their roofs and run cables down from the antenna inside so the congregants can connect and get their signals out.

 

Here is a way to wire up a prayer transmitter:

There is no man in the sky that I would call God. Religion might tell us otherwise but to me God is not a he nor a she but is everything that exists (the whole Universe) good or bad, and it is up to us to choose the good and to love each other.

 

The Universe comes together through information communicating (in a positive way) with information (hence we have gravity and other attractive 'forces') and we, by us being a part of the whole cosmos, have the need to communicate and relate to each other.

 

There are two sides to the Universe, the creative side and the destructive side and unfortunately, from childhood we are taught to compete against each other, to be the best - rather than simply do the best we can... when no-one is 'better' than anyone else - we are all a small part of the whole.

 

I wish I could find the right words... because if I cannot communicate there's no meaning to my life and I'm very lonely. However, communication is not just about words, it's about facial expression, body language, holding hands and making love.

 

If only. If only I could find someone who understands me. The God thing, in the traditional sense, which divides us, gets in the way. I have to leave it there - I'm crying and feeling sorry for myself and for humanity.

Don't feel too bad. I gave up on God a long time ago. And I wouldn't spend a lot of time crying over something that you cant control

What hurts me is the fact that religion divides us humans and is used as a means of control and manipulation.

 

I do have a concept of God though.

I want to have a personal relationship with God and my Guardian Angel. In other words, I want to be able to talk in my mind to God and my Guardian Angel. I want to pray and ask for help and advice.

But, I have difficulties to see God and my Guardian Angel in my imagination.

I feel that I need to have some image in my mind when I talk and think about Them.

Obviously, that people are not able to see God and Angels. So, it is hard to talk to Them if there is no image in my mind.

 

How do you see God and Angels when you talk to Them?

Do you have any visual image which is a symbol of God?

Any advice on how to do that?

Any advice on how to build a personal relationship with God and my Guardian Angel?

 

It's more of a feeling in my Spirit, than vision or anything else
