EnigmasMuse
A friend of mine and I were talking the other day about character defects. I don't even know how we got on the subject, ha! But, what are your character defects, and where do you feel they come from?
Veronica K
I have a tendency to get annoyingly self-righteous when I get angry. Why, that's no good at all. You know it's pretty bad when you can even annoy yourself! Where it came from? Best guess is that I wasn't often heard or validated during my formative years. Overcompensation? Sure seems that way! To be fair, once it all blows over, I get over it. I might be wary if something happened that was truly hurtful...then I take my time getting past it. If someone makes me laugh, it speeds up getting over whatever it was by about a billion. - All or nothing thinking. Where it came from? Loads of criticism directed my way of the if-you-can't-do-it-right, don't-do-it-at-all variety. Being a relatively sensitive person temperamentally, it did affect me deeply. I've been working on this one, and it's going well. Have to pat myself on the back a little for that. There's more, but that's all I feel up to revealing at the moment!
