I think most of the folks who would have enjoyed this are gone now, nevertheless, in my quest to amuse myself while recovering from my ailment, I landed on some very exciting Theory of Mind stuff which I thought might be of interest. I've said that I figured that physics would eventually provide the solution to spiritual questions - what fun to see that some of the theories have already been proposed! This is for anybody from the religion and spirituality discussions who might like to see some nifty info from the intersection of philosophy, psychology, neuroscience, and quantum physics!

Wow! This is very interesting stuff. I have not delved into the other information, but the initial article / theory is fantastic!

 

I loved the phrase: "inner world of our perceptions"

 

IF this were true - how can the information be used to alter the lasers and the holograms I wonder? But from where do the lasers originate? If the past, present, and future is occuring simultaneously does that mean that time as we understand it is not circular as it is in other theories, but dimensional in relation to the lasers? Hmm..... I'll have to read more.

 

The holographic paradigm could not only explain what we consider the paranormal, but could explain God since so much is similar to the explanations of people who lived thousands of years ago and did not have the knowledge and technology that we have today. It is so huge an idea that it is not believable right away. I think this theory and the supporting knowledge/studies, etc. are but a tiny grain of sand in the vast - seemingly infinite - sands of the great deserts of the world. I wonder how close to factual this theory is?

I still like my theory that earth is some giant aliens ant farm, and we are the ants. Occasionally we get moved from place to place hence the earth quakes and cold/hot weather, Occasionally we escape our little farm to visit the other ants farms (the moon and mars etc.) to find out that they were just the previous unsucessful ant farms. Now all of ants have to chant together......."DON"T PUT US BY THE WINDOW."

I've said it before, but it amuses me to no end that humans in each age, including ours, assume that they have reached the apex of all knowable knowledge in each generation - even though they know that new things are discovered every day and that we continue to evolve. And they don't seem to recognize the paradox in that belief LOL. I suspect everything which now seems incomprehensible is in fact comprehensible and it's only that we have not yet developed to the point where we can understand it. Whether we will before the planet ceases to exist is the interesting question.
