Agree to Cohabiting with a Partner that is Severly Allergic to Pets?

My boyfriend asked if we move in together.

 

We just began our search.

 

However, he has cats that I am allergic to.

Flashback:

Past history-I had a cat...as long as the house was clean and out of the bedroom I was fine.

I made my bf aware of this and TOLD HIM TO KEEP HIS CATS. I have been seeking pet friendly apartments ONLY.

 

Now he is thinking of getting rid of his cats.Because of my health and having pets are limiting our apartment search. I can tell he is heartbroken.

 

I'm a little scared.

 

Feeling like his OWN will to do this is breaking his heart. I feel like I'm intruding on his life. No matter how often I discuss this with him, I can't help but feel this way.

 

Should I tell him we should postpone our agreement to live together? I already had two failed relationships. I feel like I'm breaking up his happiness.
