SilentVoice
Ok I recently made a big move. So I decided to join a gym. I have been a member for about two and half weeks. I haven't missed a day yet of my five day routine. Lost 9 pounds . Anyway! Can some one please point me in a direction of a website that I can get an idea of how to work and where to start on the weight lifting machines? I do cardio 25 min (jog/speed walk on treadmill) 30 min (stair master thing) 25 ( elliptical) or 25( spin bike) I really need to start toning up. I have my diet in check( 80 grams of protein and 90 oz of water daily). So any ideas will be helpful thanks. Yes I know I can ask people in the gym but I am ridiculously shy.And don't really know anyone in the area who could help me.
USMCHokie
Most gyms I know of that have personal trainers will offer a complimentary training session for new members. You should inquire about that, and if it is the case, I would suggest using that session with a personal trainer to get a detailed orientation of the gym facility and the equipment. Author SilentVoice
Yeah I had an appointment with a personally trainer I think I missed it . I don't remember . I guess I will wait until I see him, I hate being sold stuff. But I hope he is good .Wouldn't mind seeing him once a month to keep myself on track. Gyms should come with manuals
Star Gazer
You lost 9 pounds in like 17-18 days?? Be careful. Rapid weight loss isn't healthy and the weight will come back with a vengeance! I agree with Hokie though. Utilize one of the "free" sessions to get acclimated with the equipment and exercises. It's important that you learn proper form when weight training. Author SilentVoice
I kind of have no choice in the weight loss matter. I had a weight loss surgery like four months ago. So the 9 pounds is typical. I am trying to take advantage of the quick weight loss now. I have 44 to my goal. I am 189 now .. got surgery when I was 240 and started my journey when I was 275. Anyway I am rambling. Thanks for the warning though
