Ranger75
What is up with accidental phone calls from ex's that dumped you? Why call and then say that it was an accident? Anyone ever do this? If so, why? I haven't spoken to her in about a half a year and have recovered from her dumping me for someone else back in Feb. The night she called was a day away from the one year anniversary from when we first met. She didn't leave a message and later blamed it on her niece. Just an attempt to get me to contact her? Game? Why do dumpers do the accidental text, call?
djhall
Just an attempt to get me to contact her? Usually. It reminds you of them and fishes for a reaction without putting anything out there. If you aren't interested they haven't put anything out there themselves to be rejected. If you return contact nicely then they have an opening to fish for how you feel about them. tinktronik
You know, I remember years ago getting calls that were clearly just a cell phone in a pocket or on a counter with noisy room tone with no one on the line from an ex's phone. Maybe it's just cruelty. Edited October 14, 2010 by tinktronik added info for clarity
Cee
Sometimes these calls are accidental (although the timing of yours is fishy). I've learned to delete exes after I've butt dialed them. A literal "booty call."
