So just a heads up.

I went out with her friend 2-3 times for coffee to try and figure out a way I can win her heart back, her friend told me she knows that we were spending time together.

So a week ago today, I was mention her friend and me having a coffee and she didn't know about it.

She told me today she can't move forward and past this because she doesn't trust me anymore. I'm out. lol It lasted a whole week. :D

When we were broken up, I went to her friend for guidance. I used to have my haircut by my ex's sister in law but I couldn't do that anymore. Her friend works at a salon and I figured she was a cool chick and I can go to her for advice on what to do because my ex talks to her about the break-up. I saw her maybe 3-4 times and all we would talk about is my ex and how to win her back. During this time, her friend was bad mouthing her behind my ex's back. She also told me that my ex knows that we've been going for coffee, so not to worry.

I felt guilty about knowing this because I know how much my ex likes her and considers her a pretty decent friend. So last week I told my ex, listen I have something to tell you, when me and your friend were chillin'...and she stopped me. "What do you mean, just you and her alone?" I was told she knew but I guess not. Later I found out this friend badmouthed me to my ex as well. She played both sides. I don't know why.

Now my ex thinks we might've fooled around and she feels embarassed, betrayed and hurt.

We cut it off yesterday. I told her I would never put my future with her at jeopardy by fooling around with a friend of hers. EVER. She didn't believe me. She has trust issues.

F****** women! Ever since Eve gave Adam a little a** to eat the apple women have been giving us men the shaft.

OMG. While I dislike the misogynistic undertones, this is so hilarious!

Listen, listen, listen please listen to me. You can still get her back but as long as she knows u r there, she will bait and switch. U gotta make it so she thinks u r gone and completely off her. U gotta make urself busy, ignore her, go out, be busy, be busy, don't see her. don't call her return her calls as later as u can and ignore most txts after hi. trust me she will get over her resentments asap. I hated my husband with resentment but when I was losing him, really losing him, i fought to get him back. good luck.

Oh I have no problem cutting contact. I cut contact for 3 months until she reached out to me. She's a tough cookie.

Her birthday is coming up Nov 30th. Anything? Or no?

You mentioned that she has "trust issues" - it is her issues not yours. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do. She should resolve it by herself. If the person has "trust issues" nothing you will say or do will be enough for them. They can also cheat on you "as preventative measure" or simply cause they believed that you also did so (trust issues, remember ? always good excuse)...

Also I learnt, that people with "trust issues" judge about others by theirself behavior - it can be a big red flag, that actually you can not trust them. Since they not reliable, they think others not reliable either.

Regarding birthday - do nothing. I completely ignored my x-gf birthday and retrospectively did a right thing !

This is not just any girl. I met her in elementary. We've been friends forever. I'm 29 now. She's turning 29 in 3 weeks. She just told me a week ago she sees forever with me. All because her stupid jealous friend couldn't take us being happy. I gotta pay?

He-he, by x-gf also became 29 few weeks ago. Sorry to disappoint you by words mean nothing. "She sees forever with me" - sounds so promising...In few weeks, or months she can always say you "I changed my mind"..right ? This is what I have been told. You can not sue her ? :) Please don't be naive...I am not saying that you should dump her forever...But please be careful with your emotions, before you get burned. Read other threads here - they will ripped your heart without blinking twice.

I apologize lapse. I didn't mean to sound like a misogynist, it just infuriates me to see a woman using the "maybe it can work" routine just to see how a breakup has affected someone. I know all women don't agree to this mantra, but d**n. She knew ahead of time how she felt about this relationship, yet she came back just to f*** with a man's heart and self asteem. She's a sycophantic puppet master.

Cut the strings man. Cut the strings.

She texted me. She said can you call me? I need to ask you a question. I said i'll call after work. She said i'll be busy by then because she has a late shift. She said she'll call tomorrow. I said let's get together tomorrow for a coffee. She said sure.

3 hours later, she called.

So I went out with her today and all was going well.

At the end of the date, she said she still harbored resentment toward me. She still feeled anger and it won't work out.

I tried. I regret nothing. Now I guess it's time to move on?

Well this seeems very hard to bite. You actually got your second chance, but you've been kind of cocky with her. In my opinion the the way you act can be taken as a revenge by her and this is why she's losing trust. Or am i wrong?
