Curt Posted March 3, 2004 Moderators Share Posted March 3, 2004 In this kind of a situation, you have done the best you can. No need to approach that type of discussion at this point. She knows you're there for her, and if she needs you, no doubt she will talk. Let the matter lay for now, and go on about discussing other things. Perhaps it's a situation where she needs you to be an escape of sorts, to just enjoy time with, and take her mind off of troubling thoughts. If you become more concerned about her emotional state (if she shows worrisome changes, etc., might be an idea to seek more professional assistance for her. Curt
gaia
She's your friend, so you know her best, but if it was me I'd say to her that you're not sure whether she wants to talk about her grandmother or whether she wants distraction. Let her know you're there for her whatever and keep in touch so she knows you mean it. I agree with Curt - if you're worried she's becoming depressed, try to get her to see someone about it.
