How is this true?

You obviously have not been reading my posts or following my advice.

Otherwise you would have the entirety of human knowledge by now.

Let's get with the program jean-luc!

Neither do I. I don't understand why this nonsense thread has gone on for FIVE PAGES.

The OP is craving any kind of attention. If what other posters wrote is true, this has become a pattern.

Don't feed the troll, everyone. I'm going to find other members with REAL issues.

Jean-Luc, why the eff are you wasting our time?

Why is your ego so large?

Give 10 human beings the same piece of information and you'll find multiple reactions, from ignoring it, to leveraging off the information.

Now it's your turn. How is "knowledge is innate" true? Keep in mind that I'm looking for overarching proof.

everybody by nature has the normal knowledge of life.

I've been contributing to the length of the thread, even though I know I shouldn't have. I was trying to get him to break out of character--and I've failed!

I exit this thread defeated! Au revoir jean-luc. You win. (or at least, you certainly take the prize!) :D

then go, see if i care. You label me as bad, when you flagrantly state somebody's issue is nonsense, and have no logical foundation for saying as such. Both you and BlackLovely clearly think too much of yourselves and need deflating, if you think you hold a right to dictate as such. screw both of you.

what programme? I simply want the normal knowledge of life. And why should i adhere to your advice? Clearly your expectations of human interaction are skewed.

Jean-luc: do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Just some worldly, Christian advice. But keep reading my posts, you've much to learn yet.

but i don't know you, and have no obligation to acquiesce to you. If anything, this is normal human knowledge, since nobody is owed anything. You collectively have labelled my standpoint nonsense, so why should I be welcoming? You clearly all need some kind of mental check, since you don't understand the basic norms of human discourse. And you're not very nice people to boot.

I was raised a Christian, and I doubt Jesus Himself would welcome labelling somebody's issue nonsense.

Go away, don't respond to any other thread I make, please.

Define "normal knowledge of life".

Also, if we released 100 two year-olds into the wilderness with no training and no adult help or contact for 6 months, what do you suppose the outcome would be?

You don't need to "know" me. I am the teacher, you are the student. Do you want to learn these "lessons of life" or not?

Once again : "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".

This is not simply a Christian metaphor but a universal human truth.

Study this most important lesson. We will then move on with lesson two when I feel you are ready.

go away. I don't like/respect any of you. why don't you understand the human truth that one must act accordingly for others to warm to you? Fool.

Please demonstrate the wrongness. I am acting accordingly, since you have not been accomodating, and frankly all aren't decent.

I will repeat lesson one again:"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"

Simply, put, that means if I am nice, patient with you, you do the same in return (be patient and nice). Now try it:

lol... no. Again, you have false expectations of how persons react in life, or how persons should react to you.

I have, in fact, treated people here how I would expect to be treated. All three of you stormed in and labelled my issue nonsense, and then feel aggrieved when I am not forthcoming and "kind" to you. I have never labelled somebody's issue here nonsense, nor would I.

In life, one gets what they give. if you send out badness, you receive it. Again, don't respond to any thread/post I make again. I would not welcome it at all.

Wow. What was once a lighthearted thread has turned for the worst!

Jean-Luc, I really can't tell how genuine you are in these posts. I don't think any of us mean to be rude or make fun of your problem in our responses to you, but you haven't been very clear in what your problem is. You want common knowledge, but it seems as though you have it.

Can you give an example of something that you deem is "common knowledge" that you don't possess? For example, I need better social graces--I blurt out things and am way too honest about myself and my feelings for others. Social grace is a kind of "common knowledge" that I naturally lack and have to really work on.

What are some examples you can give us to go off of here?

I've been reading the past 7 pages of this thread and I've had the same issue as Jean-luc too growing up, wondering "Why is it that people seem to have the same general/social knowledge and I don't?" or "Why does everybody seem to know more than I do?" But after reading ALL of your advice, I actually understand now. :-)

So what other people know 'by default' isn't really default, but they had to have learned what they know from somewhere. Like some people they may be born with an eagerness to learn new things and such, thus they seem to be 'born with common general/social knowledge' while others who are NOT born with that eagerness to know things and it takes them longer to develop this 'general/social knowledge".

Ok, like threebyfate's example. 10 people receiving the same 'common knowledge'? Some people quickly gets it, others take longer to receive it. It might have something to do with how a person's mind is working. Some works fast, others not so much. How we RECEIVE this common knowledge varies from person to person. We all have different mindsets and different perceptions on how we receive common knowledge.

Ok, by General/Social knowledge. You wanna know about 'This' You wanna know about 'That' You wanna know what everybody else seems to know, so you don't feel left out or out of the loop. I actually felt that way too growing up, but now I know better. (The best way to know common knowledge is to educate yourself of the things you're already familiar with! Once you do that, then you'll learn about the other things that are connected to what you already know and such.)

That's the best advice I can give right now. If this doesn't work, I don't know what else will xP LOL

I don't see why you're trying to push me off track. Again, you don't even understand basics of social interaction, don't expect me to immediately warm to you.

I want social knowledge as this:

Your family has fallen into predictable behavior patterns, as most families do. Unfortunately for angry families, that involves purposely pushing each other's buttons.

Try being different yourself. Walk past your parent, say Hi with a nice tone of voice. Then keep walking to your room.

I know, it's a tiny thing. But tiny little improvements add up to eventually big improvements.

So you be the bigger nicer more generous person. It will come back to you tenfold, if you keep it up.

The rewards won't come immediately, so don't expect them to.

Next, try doing the dishes or cleaning something without being asked. Just help out. Don't expect a thankyou. Don't expect anything, but do things like this on a regular basis.

In time, your family will start to notice the change in YOUR behavior. And this little miracle is going to happen. They will decide to change to.

Here's the warning though--if you lose your temper even one time, they will believe that YOU haven't changed one iota, and you will be back to square one, with nothing gained.

Everybody has it by default.
