LoveTNT
Ok so I was laying in bed last night and this came to mind. Don't laugh at me if you think it's ridiculous, for I believe it could possibly be fun and inspiring to all of us that are coping. Hahaha. Ok so I'm sure you have all heard of "The biggest Loser" show. People team up and lose weight etc.. I'm not a all fan club, but hey it goes with what I'm aiming for and the title I chose seemed funny. Anyhow, I thought since I've been reading much on LS from copers etc. that many are going to the gym and trying to get fit and feel healthier, better and overall getting the good ol' neurotramsitters to be released for good healthy vibes and motivation in life!!(good thang). So I thought hmmm, We can pair up but not as a team but as each others competition, similar age, weight,Ht, gender? (if you don't want to reveal your gender I understand) and start a competition. It's for fun, support and health. It's also on an honors bases, so please no cheating. We'll set certain days to weigh in. Then we'll chose a specific goal month. We'll set how much weight each team is battling off etc... The winners will show that they are definitely serious about getting healthier, staying positive and moving forward through the stress, sadness, frustration, pain etc.. that we all have been bombed with. Anyone have some input? Who's in? Who's down to get this started with me?!!! Hahaha, I'm such a dork 26 F 129 lbs ( not wanting to lose lots but want to get tight/toned and down to 120-123lbs?) ht: 5'3 DONT JUDGE ME!
bassplayertn
I think that is a fun idea..... But I am not 129 pounds, lol. My right toe might be.... jk Before I found out my wife was having an affair, I was already on track with the health thing. I spent the last 2 years busting it and lost over 80 pounds and kept it off. I wouldn't mind some motivation to get back on track now...... Might help with the whole Divorce and Moving on thing........ So i am in M 240 6'3" why not

lapse
I'm down, too. I'll have to get a scale later. I gauge by weekly pictures. So... I'm 5'4. When I last weighed myself 2 weeks ago, I was 128. I will post weight when I get the scale. Only thing is, I'm trying to lose fat, but don't want to lose muscle - really trying to do a recomp. So my main objective is BF%, which I'll gladly post. Good idea!

smk
Hey SMK, Your aim for easter time made me, giggle. Why Easter? anyhow, lets find you your battle partner! Good job on losing that weight! Easter because it's just before the summer and gives me a chance to fine tune the 6 pack in time for the summer - and I am going to Madrid in april for a weekend and to run my first marathon so I figured I may as well look hot...:-)

Author LoveTNT
I'm super stoked you all are down. If some of you want to submit pictures too, lets do this! You don't have to show your face if you don't want too. Let's not get Rated R though ok (lol). We might get the boot. That would be funny. Lets see how many more want to join, and then we need to pick the starting date and of course have the person we are going to beat, and you two can share where you're at and how much you want to battle off etc. You can share each others emotional rollercoasters too. If anything we are also trying to beat the sadness, frustration, etc and get motivated. We can talk about how much better we're feeling etc. Then we also need to come up with the weigh in days and final weigh in day! Maybe every Sunday weigh in and state our current mood.Everyone might have the time on sunday to sign in and state there progress add pictures etc... I'm sure we'll all be looking fly by NEW YEARS! Any suggestions?

durkadurka
Well since we're following up with pictures let's go now. When I first started dating my ex I was a scrawny 165, in between June 2009 and Nov 2009 I gained nearly 55 pounds. My ex left in June, and I've gone from being around 210 to being 175-180. Before: After: Edited November 4, 2010 by durkadurka
miaowmiaow
I suppose I will join in. I use to be 115lbs when I first started dating my ex. I had got up to 170lbs after my dad passed away. When my ex broke up with me 2 months ago I was at 145 and now i'm at 135 ( i'm 5'2"). I use to be embarrassed about how much weight I gained in such a small amount of time but now i'm proud of all the weight i've lost so far. I'm glad that I continued to workout even after my husband left me. I definitely am doing this for me and it has been helping me keep my mind off of him. My ex was working out with me at the gym before he broke up with me and had lost quite a bit of weight as well but now that he's with his new gf they eat out twice a day, neither of them workout, she is overweight, they both drink tons of beer.. Makes me laugh a little.
