Your budding relationship sounds wonderful...and pretty similar to the start of my relationship with my now-husband. This sounds crazy, but less than 2 weeks after we started dating (having known each other for 4 months before that), I felt sure enough about him that I started (secretly) writing my wedding guest list!!! Of course I didn't tell him about it until after we got engaged, but everything was SO easy, SO fun, we were on the same wavelength and "got" each other so seamlessly that it was just obvious that we were going to be together for a long time. Oh, and he flew to the midwest to meet my family 2 months after we started dating, so I think your gift is a great one. The only thing in this thread that has raised questions for me is this: what was going on for him that he would allow himself to be treated so badly in his past relationships? It'd be good to learn whether he's addressed whatever caused him to be a doormat.
