Tony T
Whenever I'm down, I play: "Hail to the Queen."
NEONINK
Club Mixes. Right now, I would listen to Usher's new song Yeah! It's jumping. And you can't help but feel good. Then get your arse out of the house, and into the dance scene. Kick up your heels this weekend. Feel good.
Errol
In the Mood. Nothing beats Swing! (well, Elvis comes close)
quankanne
I listen to my "Pete's Beat" CD by Pete Fountain, a jazz clarinetist from New Orleans. Ain't nothing like jazz music to lift you up ... and he's got some good stuff on that CD. Billy Joel is another good mood lightener. I just love "Movin' Out (Anthony's Song)" and "My Life." UCFKevin
I find listening to depressing songs while depressed makes more sense than listening to something happy and upbeat, I can't fool myself or my feelings, it never works that way. That song "Comfortable" by John Mayer hits ridiculously close to the mark. "Screaming Infidelities" is also a great one to listen to.
Pookette
Frank Sinatra's "Fly Me to the Moon" and Bobby Darin's "Mack the Knife" "Rock and Roll" by Led Zep...actually pretty much anything by them. Anything by Metallica. If you want feel-sorry-for-yourself music, Janis Joplin.

Pookette
Why is that, Dyer?
dyermaker
I don't know, personally it's not one of my favorites. I like Zep songs with a great guitar riff/solo to fall back on, and Rock and roll's more of a plant/bonham song. Whenever I hear Rock and Roll, I either think "Cadillac" or "Let's get ready for a live show", because they'd often start shows off with Rock and Roll.
Pookette
I guess I can't really nail down an exact reason why I like it so much. This is going to sound really weird, but certain songs give me goosebumps. That song is one of them. Some others are "Hey Jude", "American Pie" and "Classical Gas". Anyone else get goosebumps from really good songs?

CaterpillarGirl
Well, when I want to wallow in my misery: The Cure, Ella Fitzgerald, Goo Goo Dolls, Foreigner or any sappy 80s band. When I want to vent my misery: The Smiths, Carly Simon, Carole King, NIN, Veruca Salt, Garbage. When I just want to be happy and peaceful again: Bob Marley, The Beatles, the Gypsy Kings. metal_chik
I agree w/ kevin. When i'm down I listen to sad country songs, there is always one to fit the mood. When I wanna get upbeat and hyped I listen to ne thing really heavy, especially metallica...they just f*ckin' rock! Sad but true is a great song to get into.
hurtingandconfused
My immortal By: evanescence. Amy Lee says/sings everything that I am currently feeling. It's also the song I tend to workout with. Who needs carbs when you have motivation
