you know how the dumpee is not supposed to contact the dumper because if he missed her he will call?

Well he did, but i did not answer so he texted me but it was about something stupid so i replied to basically tell him to not contact me again

I guess i just assumed if he really wanted me he would try again or try harder.

I mean he called me twice, and texted me when i did not respond. But after i told him to f*** off (but a little nicer than that) he has never tried to contact me since.

So then this phone call can definitely not be a sign he wants to get back together that i am missing....right? Like he definitely would have tried harder...right?

if he wanted you back he'd be at your door pouring his heart out most likely.

What bl22 said.

Think of what YOU'D do to get it across you wanted him back.

I did the exact same thing you did and I haven't heard back from him. that was aug 19th. I am trying kill the false hope inside and I work at it everyday. you have to work thru acceptance which is where I'm at. it is not easy to do. I thought by now I would be alright but I still struggle with it. he is gone and that's it.

I struggle with hope also.

I look and hope the text I just received is from him.

Then I'm horrified when it is because it awakens feelings and puts me in the position of having to ignore it. It's only happened two times but it sets me back some each time.

As other posters have stated, it really requires a shift. After a certain amount of time, I think it's better to all together prohibit yourself from thinking about him/her. Otherwise, you wait with hope in perpetuity.
