youhadme
A couple of weeks ago, my ex contacts me after two months, nothing big, but of course I jump on it as he has not initiated contact with me for quite some time. The last time we got together it was because of me. So one thing leads to another and within a few days we meet up. We talk, telling each other what we have been doing, who we have been dating. I tell him I am in a pretty casual new relationship and he tells me the same. I'm alittle upset about this but don't really react. We both admit that neither of these relationship will lead to anything serious as we are both dating much younger people, with no real future. As the night progresses everything is pretty much the same as when we were dating, we are affection, laughing, etc. I apologize for my past behavior which lead to our break up. He seems to have gotten over it and I spend the night with him. I knew this was not a good idea but since I am not fully over him I went with it. He acted as if he really cared about me although I knew what the outcome would be. Nothing more then that night. In a couple of days he sends me a text that is way too casual considering the night we had. I respond by telling him to contact me when his new relationship has ended. My question is-how does this come off? like I feel casual and ok with it? Does this reply give him the impression that I will be waiting around? I'm worried now that he may wait too long and that we shouldn't have discussed our new relationships. I don't think we will ever really be friends so I am not sure what to make of the night. Karma20
Who knows how he'll he take it. You know him better than anyone here. I think you just need to move forward and if he contacts you, he contacts you. You left the ball in his court so there isn't much you can do now.
