Vesna
I had serious ear infections as a small child, which were treated with penicillin and I spent almost a year in bed. I have two ongoing issues with this. Firstly, I have to constantly do the valsava manouveur. This is done by blocking my nose and popping my ears or I will feel like I am changing altitude all the time. I do this at least ten times before I leave the house or I will not hear myself speak, thus being paranoid that the person I am talking to isn't the only one who hears me. Secondly, I get a severe itching feeling inside my head and spreading to my ear canals. To relieve this I need to make inward pig sounds to 'scratch' the inside of my head. I don't do this during the day since I am very self-conscious of it and will put up with but when I am asleep I do it with gusto and the relief is amazing. I'm glad I live alone and sleep alone at this point in time. Has anyone here experienced this social and sex-life killing malady and if so what worked best for you?
Cee
My malady is night terrors. Scares the pants off of guys who sleep over. But I give them a detailed and honest explanation ahead of time and they have learned to quickly wake me up to stop me. It's embarrassing, but my boyfriends have been pretty tolerant.
