If I don't get anxious over a guy - it's because I am not into him.

Hmm...is it maybe you're not into people if they don't make you anxious? Perhaps you're drawn to that. If they don't bring that out then they're boring.

Heh he just got back to me :bunny:

I am soooo looking forward to meeting him :bunny::bunny::bunny:

Must. not. get. too excited.

At the very least I move through guys pretty quickly. I used to obsess over one for ages in the past. I think this is much healthier.

Hey OceanGirl,

Sounds like a plan to me - somewhere that's got a place to sit and have a chat without screaming at each other for a first date is a good idea. The dancing can come another time!

I'm sat on my own, in a motel room in X - it's really making me look forward to Friday night!

See you then

My head hurts reading through this OG.

Good luck with the date on Friday.

LOL thanks. I know it's kind of messy so I am trying to keep my expectations low.

Oh wow, that other OKC guy that contacted me this morning is even hotter.

I just IM-ed with him again and he is smarter too (than the one I am meeting on Friday).

He is Polish  and we are 93% match.

I am just looking through his Facebook photos OMFG

I know I said that I am not going to post. But LS helps me channel my emotions. Since the break from LS, I have been sending about 7 e-mails per day to poor Shadowplay. I have also been vomiting my emotions all over everyone.

So yeah, I am back. You all knew I would be.

I have another dating dilemma. Firstly recall this thread:

http://www.loveshack.org/forums/t252118/

In short, I have been corresponding with this OKC guy and I was excited about meeting him. Then out of the blue he made a random excuse of why he can't meet and never replied to my last message. So we never met.

A month passes. He looks at my profile few times a week.

Then a week ago out of the blue he sends me a message. The gist of it is that he had a Xmass party and is a bit tipsy so he is going to be brutally honest with me. The reason he stopped writing is because he looked at my match questions and I said that smokers disgust me. He is a smoker (only a couple a day) but he worries that I would still be turned off by it and that he wouldn't be my cup of tea. Then he asked me if this was a fair call on his part or if he misjudged the situation?

We messaged back and forth and I said that I still want to meet him. He was all great! and we set the date for tonight. Last night I texted him and he responded with how much he is looking forward to meeting me finally.

Today, 3 hour prior to date he calls and cancels. Note: he actually called not texted. He said that he is feeling really sick and tired and he is leaving work early etc. He wanted to re-schedule for Monday but I am going to be on my trip so I said that I can't. He told me to call him when I get back and again he reallllly wants to meet me. He tried to keep me on the phone for a while longer but I was so annoyed that I pretty much said I had to go and hang up.

He was online all night so I know he is not meeting anyone else (tonight anyway). We ended up IM-ing for a bit and I was a bit nicer and said that I hope he feels better soon. He was all like "wow thanks for being so understanding" and that he is not canceling but merely re-scheduling. We again agreed that I will get in touch after my trip.

Anyhow, we singed off. Few minutes later, I decided to send him a long message. I don't know what came over me. I told him how I had a really bad run on OKCupid lately. How I went on a date with some guy last night but wasn't into him (yeah I actually met someone last night, it was OK but I wasn't attracted. He called today, I ditched). Then I went on to say that I met another guy last week that I really liked but he ended up going back to his ex-W. It was basically a type of message that you would write to a girlfriend. I did apologize at the end and said I needed to vent.

He was online since and didn't respond. Not that it really needs a response but it would be nice of him to. He probably thinks that I am crazy now :(

My Qs are:

1. Given that he canceled with iffy excuse, should I even be considering him?

2. Do you think that my message turned him off completely?

3. Should I contact him after my trip?

BTW he is super hot and exactly my type.

Dude.....that email killed it. Dont send that typa thing to a dude u are dating. Ever. But lesson learned, next time will go betta I am sure :D

Mine, too. Can you imagine what it would feel like to be one of the guys?

Anyway, I hope you have fun on the date. FUN. F * U * N. Fun! FUN It's supposed to be fun. If it's not fun, it's a non-event to be left in the past instantly. That's all. Final. No more thought of it.

What do you think?

This is perhaps one of your stumbling blocks..

Going for the hotties only will get you nowhere..

If you lower your expectations and look for other traits to find attractive other than only the hotties you will have much more success in dating and relationships.

When you find someone you care about he will be a hottie.. automatically.. just the way it works.. :)

Agreed!

Also, it seems like there's always someone "hotter" if people only put focus on the outward appearance. It always amazes me when I hear of beautiful people who have been cheated on and I can not understand why, it boggles my mind. Apparently, sometimes people just think the grass is greener on another pasture and they end up hurting someone who they said they love.

Also, people age, so even if they have done all the plastic stuff, they are eventually going to lose even the unnatural beauty someday. That's just a part of the cycle of life.

Oceangirl, Basing a relationship on hotness or even intellect doesn't mean that eventually they're not going to find someone prettier or smarter than you. It works both ways, but hopefully you will find someone and no longer look for greener pastures, but enjoy the treasure of the person you are with, and hopefully he will do the same with you! :)

Truthfully, I have met pretty much everyone on OKC in my area and he is pretty much the last hot guy to meet :(

I wouldn't mind having something short term with him.

You mean you wouldn't sleep with him when you realise the relationship will not be serious?

Thats my kind of girl! Good on you.

No, I think she's saying she WOULD have sex with him, even if it was short term/non-serious.

My typo and wouldn't let me edit.

I meant "would" sleep with him.

Nothing wrong with having a F/Buddy.

Oh wow guys. I am meeting hot Polish guy on Sunday. He just asked me out.

My weekend is looking great :bunny:

He is a semi-famous mathematician. I have read his research papers. I am V. intimidated and I told him so.

We are meeting at this spot where you have to climb 1000 stairs to get to it. He thought that would be romantic!

The other guy and me texted a few times today and are still on for Friday night.

I am now more excited about the Polish guy to be honest. I should probably start my own multi-dating log......OKC rocks!

Oh this is hilarious.

I just posted on my FB that I am looking forward to the weekend.

And both Friday night guy (from the OP in this thread) and Polish guy liked my status :0

They both think I mean them... and I do mean both of them :D

You are FB friends with both of them already?

Bad idea, but I suspect she's testing to see how much attention she can get from them and to make sure THEY aren't dating other women. Double standard, again.

For all I know, they are dating others too.

It's all fine until we are exclusive. It's just a bit funny.

As for FB, I added one from the OP ages ago as we have been chatting online for almost 3 months now. The Polish guy asked for my FB yesterday and I couldn't say no .

Why can't you say no?

Why do you have to have any of these guys as friends on facebook?

But once you go on ONE date with them, you're going to throw a fit if you see anything on their FB even suggesting that they might be interested in someone else.

Btw,

I just learned that if you go to someone's profile a lot you end up showing up as the top 6 friends.

It's top 6 stalkers. That's a giveaway also of who's been visiting your page.

Good luck with these guys OG!

Hope you find true love.

Where do you come up with this? I refreshed my own page 10 times and had 10 different sets of friends show up. I just did the same thing with SB's page, and different friends showed up each time.

Yeah, I think that's BS.
