AverageJoe
No, it wasn't planned. Unless you are the virgin mary, there is no immaculate conception. You wanted a baby.
sb129
Ever heard it takes two to tango? Or of people getting pregnant by mistake? Come on Average Joe surely you're not that obtuse.

Then why wasnt she on some type of birth control? If she didint really want a baby, she would have prevented it.
sally4sara
Derserve you? Where does this sense of entitlement come from? Deserve you? Really? I also didnt notice anyone here say single moms were bad people. I am not here to tear you down but, damn. Lets keep some perspective please. The rest of your comments sound like an ad. Everyone, even you, should want a partner that deserves them rather than one that doesn't. And you didn't notice anyone saying single moms are bad people? I saw: It was horrible It was a disaster Just say no; exit stage left Suggestions of not doing it ever even if it meant being alone for life all because a guy suspected the one he dated to have a mental defect. The kids are baggage, mistakes, money drain, and comparable to dogs. And to that I say those who think that way should scream it in the streets so all the single mothers in hearing distance can know who doesn't deserve them.

musemaj11
Aah, and these are the kind of prejudgments I'm not looking foward to. And I'm 25, not 20. At least I'll be able to weed out a lot of guys who don't deserve me. Very funny. A single mom only has two options: 1. Another single dad. 2. A very desperate guy.
sally4sara
Then why wasnt she on some type of birth control? If she didint really want a baby, she would have prevented it. The choice to use contraceptive is not a choice only women can make. So any guy not using a contraceptive WANTED to make a baby - right?

AverageJoe
And its all down to the woman too, is it? (contraception that is) Yes. Men can not give birth. We have one, only one. Method of birth control...well two. Snip. Females have at least a dozen methods. If females did NOT want to have a baby they would implement those methods without question. sally4sara
Yes, unless she told him she was on birth control ... Any man, in the face of not wanting a child, should not rely on the word of their sex partner. Whether or not a woman says she is on the pill, you should be doing what you have control of in avoiding an unplanned pregnancy. To do otherwise is foolish.

AverageJoe
The choice to use contraceptive is not a choice only women can make. So any guy not using a contraceptive WANTED to make a baby - right? Incorrect. Men can be stupid and not use a condom, that is his own fault. Women are the only ones that can get pregnant, not men. If a woman does not want to get pregnant, she will prevent it. Otherwise, she wants to have a baby.

If a woman does not want to get pregnant, she will prevent it. Otherwise, she wants to have a baby. I don't think this is a correct or incorrect subject. We are mincing opinions. Mine is that you're not a very responsible person when you leave the effort to avoid consequences you don't want and that with greatly alter your life in the hands of others. Women may be the ones to get pregnant but they are not the only ones to become parents.
sally4sara
Yes, it is very foolish. But that doesnt mean they want a baby. Ever heard of a show called "I didn't know I was pregnant"? Not all women start skipping their periods upon conception.

If a women does not want any babies, she can and WILL prevent it. If she doesnt...you guessed it. She wants a baby.

If a women does not want any babies, she can and WILL prevent it. If she doesnt...you guessed it. She wants a baby. There is a difference between wanting a baby and not wanting an abortion. And as I said, not all women start skipping their periods upon conception. You don't go get an abortion every month "just in case" you might be pregnant. Without any normal indicators of being pregnant, by the time she discovers she is pregnant, an abortion may no longer even be an available option. Even with how less common this is, it still allows for a margin for error that could have been avoided by simply putting on a condom. And why wouldn't you wear a condom anyway if it is sex with a girl you DON'T want a baby by? A girl says she is on the pill and you decide to not even protect your sexual health whether you believe she is on the pill and taking it properly or not? Ewwww! Not willing to help prevent an unplanned pregnancy or STDs? We have a winna!!!!

If a women does not want any babies, she can and WILL prevent it. If she doesnt...you guessed it. She wants a baby. You do know that the only completely foolproof ways a woman can prevent conception is: 1) Abstain completely from vaginal intercourse 2) Irreversibly nullify her reproductive system

I can break out the condom, but you always have these methods. Contraceptive Sponge Diaphragm Cervical Cap Cervical Shield Female Condom Hormonal shot The Pill Vaginal ring Barrior methods The Patch IUD Spermicides Now with some of the options I just listed, there is no excuse for a female that does not want to have a baby, to get pregnant. Is there? If a female does not want to have a baby she will use any of those methods to avoid pregancy, yes? If you are not avoiding pregnancy you are wanting to have a baby. Everything you listed except for Depo has a significant failure rate. Contraceptive sponges in particular can have a failure rate anywhere from 9-32%, depending on several factors. If you wear a condom and it breaks, you must have wanted a baby. Right? Yes? Correct?

Lol, wow. you are quite ignorant!! I was 20, selfish, lived for the late nights with my friends, broke, n college, not married, and bf was leaving for Iraq. So, why does this leave one wanting to start family?

Forgot to add, spermicides are basically useless unless combined with another form of birth control. The failure rate for perfect use of spermicide alone is 18%. Congratulations, mommy and daddy.
