Green
Eerie, some of the stuff in your frig I keep out. I didn't even know people keep their peanut butter in the fridge? I also have -persimmons -oranges -honey -soy sauce all of which are in my pantry, except for the persimmons and oranges which are on the counter with the avocados. Right now the kimchi jars take up most of the room in my refrigerator: baby carrots lite mayo aioli (made it myself) skim milk kale spinach Smart Butter blueberry preserves Activia yogurt Korean beef stock that is loaded with MSG a couple of Korean pastes minced ginger and a $#!t ton of kimchi... 3 different kinds (2 radishes, 1 cabbage). I also have more kimchi sitting out on my porch now that it is cold enough to keep outside since I have no more room in my frig. In my freezer I have fish, 2 whole squids, and tamales. yeah peanut butter in the fridge is gross. Also honey and soy sauce in a fridge...

Green
I do that! It keeps the bread fresh longer. The bread will actualy go stale faster if you put it in the fridge, but may hold off mold better in the fridge.

theBrokenMuse
I have noticed that older people do not put their butter in the refrigerator. All of my geriatric clients keep their butter out on the counter or the table. My boyfriend's 70 year old dad keeps his butter in the cabinet with his plates. Actually I kind of like it for sticks of butter. It keeps it nice and soft and easy to cut into. It turns it into a nasty mess for margarine in a tub, though. Hahaha, my hubby likes keeping a stick of butter out in a dish and I've never seen anybody do that before him so the first time he did it I actually thought he had accidentally left it out and made it spoil so I chucked it in the trash. I'm mid thirties and butter should not be in the fridge  then you can't spread it on anything because it's too hard.
