vekman Posted March 12, 2004 Share Posted March 12, 2004 My girlfriend is very content to go home after work and watch tv all night and often calls me and asks if I can record something for her so she can watch another program. This seems like it has taken over our relationship in a way. She has no close friends other than me and has not made much of an effort to make any. I kinda feel that it's important to at least have some social interaction beyond the workplace. When we go to my friends parties(notice there's a distinction there) she's very social and usually talks the ears off of somebody and at the end of the night I feel a little embarrassed that she talked to the same person most of the night and shared her life's story. Recently she has mentioned moving to another state because her grandmother is there and some childhood friends she has not seen or spoken to in a long time. It might seem like a good reason to move to be closer to family but is that really going to be much help to her? Help! Please Link to post Share on other sites

If she is content with the social interactions she gets at work and just wants some quiet time when she is at home; it is her prerogative and her life. I am sure she is perfectly happy the way she is. If she wasn't, I am sure she would do something about it, obviously she does not seem to lack any social skills at parties. I would not be so concerned about her, the way she chooses to live her life is her business...not yours. Link to post Share on other sites
