Is doing this the right thing???

About 2 and a half weeks ago, I found out that my boyfriend was cheating on me with my cousin. Of course I broke up with him. I still love him and I am having a hard time dealing with this break-up since I've been with him for about 3 years. The best way I found myself coping with it, is by seeing other men.

 

Last week me and my best friend's brother got together. I ended up sleeping the night with him. We didn't have sex, but we kissed: a lot. I told his sister (my best friend) about what happened that night and even though she said that it didn't bother her, I could tell it did. So a couple days later, I separated from her brother. This week, my other best friend is hooking me up with her cousin. We're going to the movies on the weekend. He's very attractive and I'm looking forward into seeing him often.

 

To be honest, I don't have any feeling for these 2 men. I'm just trying to forget about my x-boyfriend. Am I going about it the right way? I just don't want to get hurt agian. Sometimes I feel like a slut. Even though I'm still a virgin, I feel that with all the flirting and talking to guys going on I'm being like one.

There isn't really a right or wrong in this situation.

 

If you feel okay doing it and don't regret things or feel bad about it, then go right ahead, no one has the right to tell you, "You're being a slut."

I don't think it's the best idea to hook up with other guys to forget your boyfriend. Eventually you're going to start to feel used by these guys and it's not going to do much for your self-esteem or your opinion of men when combined with the fact that your boyfriend cheated on you.

 

You should really try to find other ways to get over him - do things you enjoy, spend lots of time with family and friends, exercise, focus on school or work.
