Derby
I would like to hear from those who have tried to "go back to being friends". Is friendship possible after admitting affectionate feelings/desire w/out actually having sex? Would like to hear from both genders and especially from 40+ ages. Successful and unsuccessful senerios - and why you feel they were successful or unsuccessful. Thanks!
lynx
Well I am certainly not in the 40+ catagory but I can offer some of my own experience in relation to the topic. I personally feel that yes it is possible to go back to being friends but that it can only happen if both parties are mature about it and wish for the same thing. Although it can be very tough at times but if you truly like that person outside of the whole emotional aspect of it and wish to keep them a part of your life then sure its doable. I have a relationship with someone for a little over a year and it came to a point where we knew we weren't going anywhere together but really enjoyed eachother as individuals and although were very physically attracted to eachother we made it work for the sake of being a good part of eachothers lives. I'm sure many situations do not work out this way and I guess it all depends on the people involved.
