Leigh 87
Hi! Once every two weeks, I am going to fast for 24 hours, and donate the money I would have spent on food to charity. I have never fasted before for 24 hours, and in doing so I will become aware of the discomfort that so many people face when they have to go without food. I have done a few practice fasts to get ready for this; I have gone about 18 hours without food, and I have gone until dinner without food, and so now it is time for a full 24 hour fast! I am fasting until 7.pm tomorrow! ANy one is welcome to join me, or to do their own fasts on this thread. I will be comming back to this thread to do my fasts every 2 weeks. There are many different reasons people will fast, such as; a quit detox, when you INSTANTLY want to de bloat. WIsh me luck! I do not tend to suffer from hunger - I do not get any growling in my stomach, I have noticed ( when I go 10 hours without food, for instance). I do not feel hungry at all. I get very weak hunger signals, so fasting should not be physically challenging - it is only mentally hard for me, because I like enjoying food and use it a lot for pleasure. Tony Posted December 22, 2010 Senior Moderators Share Posted December 22, 2010 LoveShack.org will not let this thread continue. For many people with medical conditions, fasting can be dangerous. It is also not recommended by most health professionals to be done on a recurring basis. No fasting regimen should be committed to without first seeking the advice of a competent medical professional. Your thought and intention is great but we cannot encourage our membership to do something that has a potential for being medically dangerous for some of them. Many thanks for your kind understanding.
