Hazel_eyes
Hey everyone, I am super excited to be joining this forum and have found so much encouragement from the threads that have been already created. I am a 22 year old female who is wanting to lose 60lbs. I have lost 10lbs so far in the last 2 weeks (I have the flu though so that probably is contributing to the amount lost). The weight loss plan that I am following is one that a group of ladies at my church are doing. Basically it is practicing moderation and eating when you are actually hungry. As someone who eats when stressed this is huge for me My workout routine is on Mon/Wed/Fri to spend an hour on my exercise bike then do an hour of pilates. On Tues/Thurs I will do an hour on my bike and 30 minutes of Zumba. On Saturday I was gonna do 30 minutes on the bike and rest on Sundays. I live in Oregon so this time of year it is perpetually cold and rainy, but I used to be a long distance runner and it was my passion, so I am hoping when the weather gets good to pick that up again. My question is about feeling discouraged. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed with the amount of weight I have to lose, and the amount of time it will take feels daunting. And then I feel defeated, like the weight will never come off. What do you guys do to help get you through these moments. I know it's probably my age and my anxiousness to be my sexy little self again, I just can't wait to be less winded lol!
Author Hazel_eyes
I wanted to also ask about multivitamins. I have tried so many different brands, on a full stomach, empty stomach, morning, at night, etc. and every single time I take one after about 30 minutes I get extremely nauseous and sometimes vomit. Am I perhaps doing something wrong? Is there a vitamin out there for those with sensitive tummies? Thanks!
Surrealist
Having to lose lots of weight can be daunting. People may see it from different perspectives. Sounds like for the time being you have merely moderating your diet and increasing activity levels, so it is nothing too drastic that you cannot maintain, correct? If so, this is good! It does no good to go on a huge crash diet of which lasts for a week and then back to binge eating again. Still, it does no harm, and in fact a lot of good, if you do schedule in a cheat meal once a week, but make it once a week only. This is why I say 'schedule' because you stick to the goal at the end of the week at which you allow yourself to eat or drink what you like. I do it each Saturday night. By having a cheat meal, so to speak, you don't feel like you are on a perpetual diet with no break, yet you don't compromise your dieting goals because it only lasts for that one evening. Set small, achievable goals so that you don't have to look at the big goal of losing 60 lbs, 5 lbs at a time will add up quickly toward attaining your overall weight loss goal. Also try to feel motivated by the end product, what you will feel and look like by the end of the dieting process. Importantly, don't allow yourself to gain too much weight ever again by sticking to a sensible diet once you have lost it. Good luck.
